GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS

GUYS.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR INFINITY WAR!!!!!!

Anyway, with all that aside, I’d like to share me thoughts.

*ahem*

Thanos is not going to be looking for the soul stone in the end like everyone thinks. He is going to Wakanda because that’s where Vision is, and he needs the mind stone in the end. (Besides, we think Thanos got the soul stone on his home planet of Titan already, but my friends and I could be wrong, and a clip of him showed he already had the soul stone in his gauntlet.)

No, Captain Marvel will not be in it *sigh*, and besides, she’s not even in Infinity War in the comics.

Yes...yes! Yes! Captain America will officially be his comic alias the Nomad! So. Excited!

Peter Parker’s new suit *gasp* soooo cool I love Spider Man. Oh, and I love the Guardians who are also going to be in it, so I’m super duper exicited for that.

Rewind to Black Panther...Bucky was called the White Wolf by Shuri (Or was it the village kids?), and in the comics, the White Wolf is Bucky and becomes the adopted brother of Black Panther, so I wonder if White Wolf will become Bucky’s alias/identity in Infinity War.

Ahhhhh soooooo excited!

Thoughts?

Okay, EVERYBODY by now knows I'm a huge Marvel fan. I love all the characters, even the villains (yes, I mean the ALL the villains, even the villainous villains, like Hela and the Chitauri, not just villains like Loki.) I've never chosen a side in Civil War, and all of the Marvel characters are my cinnamon rolls. That being said:

I think Cap is going to die in Infinity War.

Hear me out, please. I like Captain America just as much as you guys, maybe even more. And it hurts me to say it that yes, there are lots of reasons why.

1) Chris Evans's contract is up. Enough said there. If I'm not mistaken, he's actually on Broadway right now (I have a friend who went to NY).

2) There's a clear scene in the trailer of Cap struggling against Thanos. Enough said there as well.

3) To "cap" it all off (haha, sorry about the pun but I couldn't resist), in the comics, the character of Steve Rogers/Captain America either dies or gives up the mantle of Captain America. To... wait for it... the other super soldier that science created successfully (more or less)... BUCKY BARNES! And we know Sebastian Stan's contract is still valid and continuing. (I'm like 90% certain on that one.)

So, sorry you all, but it looks like Cap's going to die. Cry Nooo! *shhhhh* I'd really like to think that no-one dies, but it's been confirmed that A) a founding member of the Avengers is going to die (and can you get more founding than the reason SHIELD was created??) and B) ALL INFINITY WAR DEATHS ARE GOING TO BE PERMANENT. I WILL SAY IT AGAIN FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK: ALL INFINITY WAR DEATHS ARE PERMANENT. *sobs* MY CINNAMON ROLLLLLLLLL!

Also, can I just say, you know how people refer to small, cute characters that must be protected at all costs as "cinnamon rolls"? In Infinity War, Cap is more like a bagel, which also makes me sad. (And hungry. I should probably go eat. But first...)

On to a happier speculation note...

My theory for Hawkeye and Ant-Man not being in any of the trailers *cough cough Marvel why* is that think about it. They're the only 2 Avengers (or heroes in general) with families/young kids. Banner lives alone, Black Widow lives along, Tony Stark has Pepper to be sure but she can take care of herself, Rhodey is alone, Thor and Loki only have each other (and Asgardian refugees), Cap and Bucky have no-one but each other, Sam Wilson lives alone (I'm pretty sure), and I think you get the picture by now. But Hawkeye... we know Hawkeye has young kids and a wife! And Ant Man has Cassie! Who is the sweetest little girl ever! They can't leave their young kids to go fight aliens in space. At least, that's my theory. But then that doesn't hold for Spider-Man, but I guess it does, because Aunt May can take care of herself, but like, he is the child in this scenario. Yes, yes, I know, he's capable and strong and has an Iron Spider suit, but like, he's 15. Maybe 16 in Infinity War. No, wait, time frame is 3 years after Civil War... so about 18? I guess that makes him a technical adult and able to make his own life decisions... *thinking*

Oh, and, Quicksilver! The one Marvel hero they've never brought back. I think he's coming back for Infinity War. At least, I hope so.

Uh, maybe more speculation later, but I have bunches to do right now, so I'll be back! I hope I didn't make anyone sad. :(

No, I totally agree that Cap is probably going to die, if they’re following the comic line (which they don’t tend to do because *cough* Civil War *cough*).

Theres a chance that Vision will die also.

I have to disagree there. Cap better not die! But I do know that Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) broke BOTH of his arms on set, due to some rigging difficulties. And he’s going to die. I’m sure of that. He only comes in at the very end of IW... and I think he’s going into some other tv shows and whatnot.

Well in the comics Cap dies, so I don’t know. And the only opinion I have about Hawkeye is that I hope he’s in the movie XD

YES. I told my friend that he is going to die and she didn't believe me!!

Also, I think it would give the avengers a second problem to face in the movie. Without someone to be their leader, the Avengers will fall apart.

Does anyone also ship Stucky, because Cap dying would be so hard on Bucky.

@Kyoto: Hawkeye is so epic! I know I already said that I love everyone, but Hawkeye is especially near and dear to my heart, as is Banner. And Hela. (Yes, Hela.) All for strange but true reasons. And Black Widow and Cap and Iron Man and Bucky and... I love them all for different reasons!

@Fidelity: It would definitely be interesting, you're right! And I totally ship Stucky, but like Sharon? Is in the way? And I like her too, just not as a love interest, because PEGGY CARTER'S NIECE HELLO? Anyway. I think someone will pick up the leadership for sure. I would think Tony at first, but I feel like he's trying to take a few steps back and focus on his private life as well, and he wouldn't want to take that on. Black Widow wouldn't want to, Banner wouldn't want to, Thor is busy (or maybe not anymore), Loki would love to but no-one's going to let him, Bucky wouldn't trust himself, etc.

It'll also be interesting to see how the returning Avengers (Hulk and Thor and the refugees) interact with the newly-split rest of the Avengers, and how the Accords confine them. Clever of Marvel to put Infinity War in space, where the Accords don't apply.

Want to hear something I thought of? Captain America (and Black Widow, and Bucky, and Sam and Scarlet and Ant Man and Hawkeye etc, but I'm focusing on Cap) is now a criminal. A nationally and internationally wanted criminal. He isn't welcome anywhere anymore. Meaning...

AMERICA doesn't welcome Captain America any more.

That is all.

Exactly, which is why Cap is now the Nomad.

Ah, yes. I take it you're a comics fan/reader? Can you clarify something for me? Does Cap die and Bucky takes up the Captain America mantle, or does Cap give up the mantle to Bucky?

Pretty sure Cap dies and Bucky takes up the mantle.

In the Civil War comics, it seems like he dies, but it turns out he was just trapped inside of a psychic prison constructed by Arnim Zola Red Skull. He escaped, but Bucky did take over for the Captain while he was gone. The Wield of the Sheild passed between Bucky and Cap many times. According to the most recent comic, he's Cap, and in his youthful state too.

Yeah, I’d trust GW’s word more on this. It’s been a while since I’ve read the comics, and I should probably reread them.

Okie dokie! I will admit, I've always wanted to read the comics, but I never have. Have either of you heard of a superhero named Meggan? I think her husband, Captain Britain, was one of the Avengers in the old comics once, and she worked with the Excalibur team and Nightcrawler for a while too. (Some of my terminology might not be the best there... but oh well.) I'm trying to figure out if anyone else knows who she is-- no-one seems to have heard of her, which frankly, I'm not surprised. She's an old superhero, one of the quote-on-quote "forgotten" ones.

This is a different topic, but I didn’t want to make an entirely new thread, sooooo....

Who else is disappointed with how they made the Titans look? They look like Disney’s Descandants characters! And I really hope they don’t mess up the plot.

Also, the animation of Teen Titans is rebooting from where season six left off and I’m SOOOOO excited!!!!
