April Poetry
April is the month of poetry, so I think we should have a thread to celebrate poetry.
I'm writing a poem everyday for the month of poetry. I challenge you to join me! You don't have to write one every day. You could write one every week, or just when you feel like it. But I challenge you to take notice of poetry for the month of April.
Post poems here! You don't have to write them, but post your favorite poems here. Share why you love them, and what they mean to you!
This thread is all about sharing poetry in April. It doesn't just have to be for April either, by any means. But lets start here...because, where better to start than the here and now?
Here is the poem I wrote today:
April poetry day 4
Spider
Spider, Spider,
Build your web
One string at a time.
Moving forward
Steadily
Up, up, up, you climb!

Someone told me long ago,
"When the land of flowers turns to snow,
When the leaves are gone,
When the light is slow,
When the rabbit has not
His chocolate hue,
When the birds have gone,
When the squirrels are few,
When dusk till dawn is cloudy gray,
When the sun has gone,
When she hides her face,
When the canvas of the world is blank and dreary,
And of the darkness you are weary,
Bring color to every barren thing,
Paint your world,
Bring on the Spring."

Oh my goodness, Jwyn, that was simply beautiful! It had such a nice rhythm and the rhyming was amazing!

A poem:
I left them for a reason.
They were cruel.
I write a lot of poetry, and I was wondering- should I post occasional things here? Should I make an "Ezra's Poetry" thread (on which I would post more often)? What would you guys enjoy, as far as art sharing?
Yes, you're welcome to post more poems here, Ezra, and/or you can start another poetry thread. We don't post recommendations for other sites over which we have no control, with the exception of Nano Young Writers and Scratch.
