Some Random Music Stuff!

Okay, so I've got a couple things about music to say:
ONE (Two three four five six seven eight nine NUMBER TEN PACES FIRE):
Musicals. Which ones do you guys like? Have you ever seen one live? What are your opinions on them? I listen to Hamilton, Phantom of the Opera, Dear Evan Hansen, and Les Miserables, but I've been told to listne to Cats, so I might do that at some point.
TWO (what it takes to make a thing go right):
Some random obscure band I have some thoughts about! I will say the name of the band, I will summarize their music, and then I will say my thoughts.
Gorrilaz: They have this weird-but-awesome hip-hop/rap/rock/pop blend with strange lyrics and some WACKED music videos. I really like this band, and you do a bit of research, the concept behind them is really cool. The band itself is animated, the music written by two guys, and the songs performed by a variety of people. Their music videos tell the story of the characters that compose their band. Thier music is cool, weird, and sometimes a bit explicit, but not too much.
They Might Be Giants: This band is composed of two guys with some polka-rock style music, and some really funny and weird lyrics. A sample lyric from their song, We Want A Rock: "Everybody wants prosthetic foreheads on their real heads". I really like this band too, and I listen to them quite a bit while studying.
The Smashing Pumpkins: These guys have some pop-punk soft rock style that's sometimes sad and sometimes not. I really like 'em, but some songs I really don't like. It kinda depends.
Cake: Kinda like a Green Day Coldplay mashup. 'nuff said. They're good, but not as good as some of the other music I have on this site. If you like rock, but not screaming you'll like this band.
Franz Ferdiand: Scottish rock band. They're epic and they deserve WAY more listeners than they have.
Cage the Elephant: Hard to describe their music, because it changes, btu they're really good for study music and stuff.
Muse: Hard-rock/techno, depending on which album you listen to. Also epic, I wish I could see one of their live shows someday.

So yeah. That's just some stuff. *SUBMIT*

Ah! I love They Might Be Giants! My favorites are Meet the Elements, Istanbul, and Particle Man. What are yours?

I like Purple Toupee, Doctor Worm, Call You Mom, Whistling in the Dark, all of Flood, actually, and Answer. Also to add to the list of bands: Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. They’re a Christian heavy rock (which does exist) with a lot of really good songs and a lot of mediocre ones. Their best songs are all in their first album, which is called Don’t You Fake It.

Yes! They Might Be Giants are the best! My favorite song is Whistling in the Dark. And possibly Particle Man.

Yes! I love Whistling in the Dark! I always forget about it, though. I haven't heard it in a while. I like Birdhouse in Your Soul a lot, and Ana Ng.
Gorillaz is amazing. I hear most of their members are played by an ever-changing cast of artists. A few songs of theirs that I like are Feel Good Inc., DARE, Broken and Melancholy Hill. I adore the artwork and the animations, and both the little stories told in the music videos and the overarching story.
I recently heard about Sidney Gish. Her songs have some cursing and massive potential for getting stuck in your head. I recommend I'm Filled With Steak and Cannot Dance, Impostor Syndrome and Persephone.
Walk Off the Earth is a five(six?)-person band who do a lot of covers but are really creative in it. A few of my favorites from them are Gang of Rhythm, REVO and Red Hands.

My favorite song is Turning Out by AJR.
As for the others... *pulls out headphones*
