Do any of you CBers keep an art journal or bullet journal? Do you take really nice notes or have decorative planners? Here is the place to post pictures or talk about anything of this nature.
I've seen bullet journaling all over Pinterest and tumblr, so today, I made a DIY bullet journal with the help of a bookbinding tutorial and free printable dot paper, and I'm going to start filling it up. When this thread shows up I can post pictures, and if you're interested, show you how I made it.
Thanks for reading!

I'd like to try bullet journaling. It seems to have exploded in 2018, I've literally seen it everywhere. First though, I need a nice, cheap journal...
Walmart? Walmart, I'm coming!
Pardon me, peeps...

This all looks pretty cool! I might start one for February! Just a few questions though.
-What should a bullet journal include?
-What's the point of a bullet journal?
-Is any size notebook okay? How about one that's a little larger than your hand? (fingers included)
Thanks!

Hopefully I can answer these!
-What should a bullet journal include? Most bullet journals include:
1. An index. An index is very helpful, because this way, you can put ANY spread ANYWHERE you like. Then you write it into your index along with the page number, and voila! Easy to find. That's the beauty of a bullet journal. Let's say that you want to stick a book Tracker between your weekly and your habit tracker; go for it! Nothing is out of order. Another beautiful thing about bullet journals is that they are customizable to YOUR needs. Unlike a premade planner, (don't get me wrong, planners are great too!) they are super flexible and can be made to fit any of your needs. Okay, enough of me talking like I'm selling you one. XD On to the next thing.
2. A future spread. In plain English, that means a page that shows all the months in the year (or all the months left in the year when you start). It's bit like a calendar, and it can help you keep track of everything you have planned throughout the year. Birthdays, events, holidays, trips, etc.
3. Monthly spreads. Monthlies often include a calendar showing the month, and sometimes a place to write things like goals and tasks.
4. Weekly spreads. A weekly shows all the days of the week, and sometimes includes things like goals and tasks.
5. Daily spreads. Dailies are the spreads you use each day. Most people write tasks and events in their dailies, and sometimes do a small journal entry. Some people don't use dailies, like me. I prefer to have a larger space in my weekly for each day because I find that dailies don't work as well for me.
There are lots of other fun spreads, like habit trackers, travel trackers, sleep trackers, book trackers, mood trackers, etc. I suggest you look online or on this thread at some examples of some spreads that I mentioned, to kinda get a feel for them.
-What's the point of a bullet journal? The short answer: to help you with life. A bullet journal is a to do list, a calendar, a planner, and a journal, all rolled up into one, is really the best way to describe it. If you love notebooks and stationary, or have multiple lists constantly floating around, or want to get more organized, a bullet journal is for you!
-Is any size notebook okay? What about one that's a little larger than your hand? (fingers included.) Yes, any size notebook is okay, as long as it works for you! Most bullet journalists use a dot grid journal, but a blank journal, grid journal, or lined journal will work too! I find the dots in a dot grid very helpful, but any type of notebook would be just fine.
Wow. That was long. Anyway, I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, or if anything didn't make sense, feel free to ask!
Nugget says hoho! Um...sorry buddy, but, Christmas was over weeks ago.

Ok. Give me a minute to pull of my photo editor to create collages. Admins, I'm sorry in advance. XD
Here's a cover of the journal picture for now. Peter Pauper Press books are GORGEOUS.
