Hello frens! I'm home sick today, so I decided to do something productive. It is... *drumrollllllll*...
MY OC THREAD!!! (OC means Original Character, for those of you that didn't know.)
Yep. I need a few good characters to draw and write about, so this is where you guys will be able to see all of my failed stories and art, and give me feedback on how to improve it. YAY!

Here are some things I could use your help with, if you're willing:
-Names. A healthy mix of male, female, and gender-neutral.
-Character traits! I want to have well developed characters, not just tomboys and Mary Sues and tragic heroes (which isn't really a trait but I think you know what I'm trying to say.)
-Backgrounds. Something I struggle with is giving characters good, solid, backstories, not just "ya um well both of their parents are dead from a car crash and they live with their evil uncle edgar".

So far in life, I have a grand total of ONE OC!!! Her name is Evelyn, and I'll post a picture of her when this shows up. For now though, here's her charrie sheet.
Name: Evelyn (I need a last name)
Age: Not sure yet
Appearance: (see picture in the comments)
Background: (I need help with this. See, I told you I need you guys! The general idea is that she was in an accident where her caregivers died, and luckily she lived, but not unscathed. She now has a scar across her eyes, and big surprise, she can't see. She wears a blindfold under her hair.)
Talents: Killing people. Sorry not sorry.
Strengths/Weaknesses: She's blind, but it strengthened her other senses. She is really self conscious about her looks (cuz she can't see herself, she just has to trust others) but luckily it's not too much of a problem as she's really pretty and has a good sense of style. (People describe colors to her when she wants to buy/steal something.)

I can't really help with character traits and backstories, mostly because the OCs I really focus on are from fandoms, and I don't have to come up with a whole world to base the characters on. But I can help with names. If you go on google and look up "Names," there's a website that you can customize names. There are options for gender, origin, sylables, beginning letters, and I should just stop because it would take way too long.
Can I post characters on here too?

*Rubs hands together* I've been working on developing this character some more... I hope I can pull something great out of my portfolio or else this is gonna sound really not smart.
Name: Brackets
Age: Looks 19 but was created in the 1930s.
Gender: Female
Personality: Cocky, weird, evil, slightly violent, won't kill, seems sweet, but is actually mean (pretty much an opposite tsundere)
Appearance: (She's my BATIM OC, so she's a cartoon) pale, has cartoon eyes, long black hair covering part of her left eye, ivory devil horns, a black halo and wings, wears a 1800's style tie and a black top and white bottom, has a white demon tail and has a disconnected head (Not in a creepy way, in a BATIM way)
Background: Was created by a rival animation company to rival Bendy, Boris, and Alice, who was growing wildly popular. Her studio actually found a way to create a makeshift ink machine, though it was destroyed right after she was created.
Talent: exploring, fighting
Strengths: She weilds a pipe she found as a weapon, and has a mean swing with it.
Weaknesses: She can be a little over confident, and has no patience to the point that she has to get her way.

I love it, Lucy! She is very nicely developed. But...um... sorry if it's obvious, but what's BATIM stand for? I have no idea.

BATIM is Bendy And The Ink Machine. If you don't know the game, it's a horror-y first person game where you play as an animator named Henry who used to work for Joey Drew Studios in the 20s exploring the old HQ where Joey made a machine called the "Ink Machine" that would bring Bendy, the "Dancing Demon" and the company's mascot and MC to life. Bendy is lurking in the mysterios ink stains on the ground, as well as other demons. Wow, can't believe I fit that into one sentence.

I think I can help with traits a bit. Make sure your characters aren't flat or stereotyped; give them believable strengths and flaws, fears and passions. They shouldn't only have one side, they should have multiple sides. For instance, maybe Ella is usually very sweet to people, but on the inside she has a lot of turmoil and when she's hurt she blows up and holds grudges. Here are a few traits to add:
-Short-tempered
-Sensitive
-Optimistic
-Fragile
-Stubborn
-Fearful
-Bubbly
-Reclusive
-Cautious
-Mysterious
Anyone can feel free to add to this list, these are just a few things I though of.
