OC Challenge Reboot!
OC Challenge Reboot!
The original thread was created by Bluebird, and the first remake was by Clouded Leopard. I really liked the idea, so I decided to do a remake! Basically the idea is that you take an OC of yours (OC stands for Orginal Character, meaning a character you created yourself, if you didn't already know) and you draw them in any or all of these scenarios. Feel free to add your own challenges!
1. Drawing themselves.
2. Asleep.
3. In a fancy outfit.
4. In the water.
5. Facing a fear.
6. Playing Twister.
7. In an awkward scenario.
8. Eating something messy.
9. Crying or being emotional.
10. Doing something they're really bad at.
11. Doing something they really love.
12. Doing something really hard for them.
13. Up at midnight.
14. Caught doing something they aren't supposed to be doing.
15. As an animal (or as a human if they are already an animal).
16. With a pet.
17. Trying a new food.
18. As the opposite gender.
19. As a baby.
20. At school (or doing school if they're homeschooled).
More later!

It's Starseeker, but I just didn't want this post to fall down into the depths of despair. :)
I will certainly be doing this! I remember the drawing I made for CL's remake. My OCs were from a Warriors RP, maybe created by Scylla? But they were so cute!
I really like these because I feel like they stretch your brain! I might not post my drawings on here because I don't think my parents would approve, but I shall at least make them. And I'll probably end up describing them on here.

Thank you, Starseeker! Yes, I love doing these! I can't wait to see everyone's pictures, or descriptions!

Ooooh, I'll do this!
(September 9, 2017 - 10:23 pm)
Agh, why have I not learned to draw manga yet? I haven't even gotten to the part in my manga book where it teaches you to draw bodies!!
Oh well, I guess when I finally can draw manga I'll come back to this or make a new one.

Hahaha, I was so excited (and I had literally nothing else to do XD) that I finished all twenty of the drawings, and added two more of my own! I'll just be describing them here-- again with the "I don't want to post them/I'm pretty certain my parents won't let me" thing. I chose the main character in my book, Take Wing (which is also on Inkwell and NaNo). Her name is Zoey, and she is also my AE.
1 (drawing herself): She's curled up and resting her sketchbook on her knees. Her long black hair is loose and hanging down her back. Her feet are bare and she's wearing a long sleeved top and rolled up jeans. Usually she's in black armor and her hair is braided, but in such a relaxed scene, I drew her more relaxed.
2 (asleep): Zoey is slumped over. Her knees are curled up underneath her and her head is pillowed on her arms. Her wings are gently folded on her back. Again, because this is a relaxed scene, I drew her with a long sleeved t-shirt and bare feet.
3 (in a fancy outfit): I drew her in a dress that I'm actually planning on putting into my book. It's long and puffy, like a brocade ballgown. The bodice is stiff and tight and dark. From the bodice on down, it ombres to a lighter color. At the very bottom of the dress are trees. The ombre with the trees kinds resembles a sunset, which is what I was going for. On her wrists are cuffs (long story) and her wings are flared.
4 (in the water... or not): Zoey's magic is fire-based, and so she hates the water. I drew her in a t-shirt, sunglasses, and shorts, floating in a pool on an inflatable chair thing. Her hair is braided and hanging down.
5 (facing her fear): Zoey's greatest fear is her unknown past. I drew her in full armor, hair braided, one fist clenched with slight sparks emerging. The other hand is reaching out to her younger self, standing on a stool to be at eye level, and reaching out a hand to touch her future self.
6 (playing Twister): Zoey is super flexible, and so you definitely don't want to mess with her and Twister! She's bent over into a backbend, her braided hair coiling at her feet. Again, this is a bit more of a relaxed scene, and so she's in a t-shirt and jeans.
7 (in an awkward situation): I would NEVER want to be in the situation I drew her in. She has her arms behind her back, and her wings are kinda droopy. Her eyes are looking downwards, away from the guys flanking her. On her right is a kneeling golden-haired elf prince, Luca, who is reaching for her hand with one of his hands, and offering her a crown like the one on his head with his other hand. On Zoey's other side is Justin Glendale, her friend from the human world, sheepishly holding a bunch of flowers. His face is interesting in this drawing: kinda resigned, because he can see that Zoey would never choose him over the stunning Luca, but also holding out hope that she might. (Sorry, fans of JustinCase.)
8 (eating something messy): This is just a torso drawing of Zoey. In one hand is a half-eaten piece of chocolate cake, and the other is behind her back. Her mouth is full. She's saying (through all the cake in her mouth!): "Oops... was tht chocolate cake for you?"
9 (crying): This one was hard to do, because I imagine Zoey as this strong, infalliable warrior, but she's really not. She's curled up, hands around her knees, hair loose and hanging, though she is wearing her armor. She's looking down and there's a single tear rolling down her face.
10 (doing something that she's bad at): Zoey is really, really bad at sharing her feelings. In this drawing, she's in full armor, her hands clasped in her lap and her feet close together in a shy, nervous way. She's facing her human friend Kelsey, who's sitting cross-legged on a stool. Zoey is looking down as she says, "And then I just felt so..."
11 (doing something she loves): Zoey is in her original human schoolgirl form, with shoulder-length choppy hair and a school uniform on. She's sitting crosslegged and has a book spread open before her. Next to her is a steaming mug of hot chocolate.
12 (doing something hard): Zoey is doing a handstand. 'Nough said.
13 (up at midnight): Zoey is in her original schoolgirl form again. Her hands are over her face and a textbook is in front of her. She's saying "UUUGGGHHHHHHH".
14 (caught doing something she's not supposed to): Zoey is in PJ's and her hair is up in a messy bun. Her cheeks are bright red and her mouth is full as she says, "I wasn't eating cookies... at midnight..."
15 (as an animal... teehee!) I drew her as a gecko, cat, and parakeet, all with her wings and braid. That was fun! They're all glaring at me precisely as Zoey would.
16 (with a pet): As this is an informal scene, I drew her with her hair loose and in a t-shirt and jeans. She's lying on her back on the floor, and holding a border collie puppy above her.
17 (trying new food): Zoey is in her old human form again, and her eyes are shut tight and her mouth is screwed up as she shoves away a plate of octopus.
18 (opposite gender): This character has her armor (although not the undershirt), plus fingerless gloves and short, choppy hair. The eyebrows are thicker and the arms are thicker with muscle also. The wings are the same.
19 (as a baby): This one's so cute! It's of a little toddler in a cute little dress and crown, smiling as only a toddler can. Add in the tiny curl of black hair and you have one cute drawing!
20 (at school): Zoey is, again, in her human form. She's conked out on her desk as Kelsey (another charrie, see my story on Inkwell for details) looks at her strangely.
21 (one I added! Manga form!): Zoey basically looks the same, wings and armor and all that, but it's in manga/anime style.
22 (one I added! With the other charries!) From left to right you have: Torquil, a dragon shapeshifter; Willow, a unicorn shapeshifter; Sterling (Sterling Persephone Griffon), Zoey's sister; Adrienne (Adrienne Eleanora Griffon), Zoey's other sister; Zoey (Zoelaira Estebelle Griffon); Kelsey Cooper, Zoey's human friend from Northbrook Academy; Justin Glendale, Zoey's other human friend from Northbrook Academy; and Zorinth, Zoey's twin brother.

I know that was super long... sorry bout that! I hope you took the time to read that all... I wish I could post my drawings but I'm just not quite comfortable with it. I know you guys would never judge me or anything like that, but still.

Wow! Congrats on doing all of them! I don't think I'd be able to do that many at once! They sound really cool, and I wish you could post them too, but if you don't feel comfortable, I understand.

OooO totally doing this, I'm actually starting on some!
(September 12, 2017 - 7:54 pm)
Here are two I did! Sorry bout the picture, it's night time. The one on the left, is my OC Kate (guess where I got the name? XD) reading. The left is her drawing herself. Cardinal says okoo.
(September 14, 2017 - 12:40 am)
Ooh, I like the one with Kate reading! Good job!

@Leeli: Thank you!

Oh yay! I love doing these. Here's a drawing of my OCs Tesha and Ben in halloween costumes. (I drew Tesha on the first thread, I believe!)
A bit about my OCs- I think I created them when I was around 10, so they've undergone a lot of changes. For example, Tesha used to have heterchromia, but I felt like that was kind of cliche, so she doesn't anymore. They live in this town that is basically built around a rubber band factory, and the two of them meet and become friends after Ben tries to steal Tesha's walkman and she chases him for 7 blocks and tackles him and then finds out he's a part of her sisters' "gang"... it's a long story. Anyways, I really like to draw them, so enjoy!
(September 17, 2017 - 7:42 pm)
That is awesome, Bluebird! I especially like Tesha!
