In your attic there is a wooden box that no one has touched in years, or even can remember where it came from. Inches of dust lie on the intricately carved surface. You have always ignored it, until today. The dreariness of the rain has driven you upstairs, to paw through old photographs and laugh over your family's junk and memorabilia, kept for so many years and never remembered.

You finally come to the box in the farthest corner, and raise the lid, curious. What's inside astounds you. You lift it out eagerly, and in doing so knock over an old lamp with a fringed shade.

But the lamp never hits the ground.
