Right, so I knew that some of you CBers were obsessed with Newsies, but I had never really bothered to look into it much until recently (and that was mostly because I wanted to see Mike Faist, one of the DEH cast in it). So I found a full recording of it on youtube with the original cast and started watching. Mike Faist was not in it, sadly, but I kept watching anyways and suddenly I was hooked. I watched the whole thing to the end and by now I've seen the whole video almost three times within maybe five days. I have now an unhealthy obsession with this musical, I can't stop watching it! XD My favourite song is probably Santa Fe, it's really stuck in my head and its stressing me out. I also like The World Will Know, Once and for All, and Carrying the Banner. Jack is my favourite character, followed by Crutchie, followed by Katherine (she's so amazing!).
So, this is a fanpersoning/me finding out who else likes Newsies thread! Who are your favourite characters? What are your favourite songs? I don't really know how to end this, so goodbye!

Yeah, I've known some people on here are obsessed with Newsies too, but I've never really been that into it-JUST KIDDING! I LOVE Newsies!
Conversation with Riddler: I'm so glad that you've got into it, Riddler. And yes, I wish they had more of the original cast in it, but they have Jeremy Jordan, Tommy Bracco, and Andrew Keenan-Bolger, so I'm content. :) Have you seen the 1992 Disney movie? It's good too.
General Fangirling: The poor GUY'S HEAD IS SPINNING!

Stage Musical: My favorite characters here are Jack because he's really interesting and deep. I also like Crutchie because he's just a sweetheart. Katherine is an awesome heroine, and I love Jack and Katherine's relationship. David is-aack- the BEST (That's right. Above... the fold.), and Les is such a cutie. I like Race's humor a ton, and am convinced that I am pronouncing erster right. I don't like Pulitzer how he's portrayed in the musical because it's not historically accurate AT ALL. At the time of the strike, he was more of a neurotic because he was going blind. At the time, he instructed his staff to speak in whispers because his hearing was becoming painfully acute. He definitely wasn't 'The Bottom Line type villain.

I love Newsies! I've only seen the movie (once) so I'm not an expert or anything, but I like the songs and it's a good story. Seize the Day is my favorite song. My favorite character is probably Crutchie.

I just saw this! I loved it! It was very well done, and overall just a really good musical, though there was some swearing. My favorite characters were Jack, Crutchie (like Brooklyn said, he's a sweetheart) and Catherine (again, to quote Brooklyn, and awesome heroine!) I've gotta go, but more later!
