Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

CensorshipOf

Censorship

Of celebration

Hidden differences

and description

Like sleeper

agents

Lying in suspension

For time to pass

Their is no

Place for the squares and cirles in a world of triangles

And what is the colour

of the sky

When betrayal and

back stabbing runs wild

Allowed yet severly

Disapproved

That is the colour of the sky

The slow beat of funeral calls

and the lonely

playing of a

Flute and trumpet

What happens to

a dream

differed

Does it slowly moan

or does it EXPLODE

IS AN EXPLOSION
I BEG OF YOU'

AND ANSWER!!!!
WHY MUST MY HOARSE SCREAMS
RING INTO THE EMPTY DARNKESS
LIKE A WATER BALOON POPPED

I BEG OF YOU- WHY ARE MAY CALLS UNANSWERED
WHY MUST MY
DREAMS EXPLODE?????

Distortion of celebration

Loss of celebration

Goodbye

There's something

out of reach

it's on a cabinet on the top shelf but it's not that i'm not tall enough

that's not why I can't reach it

I want to yell

I want to be loud and clear

I want to scale the shelf, jump on top of it

let it sag under my weight

I want to say exactly what I mean

I want to be the bluntest

most obvious

most tactless and loudest person in this universe

but instead I relax

grab something from the shelf below

one I can reach easily

say simply

"you will be accepted"

I don't go any higher.

I don't want to break the shelf.

~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"

So I'm afraid to be too obvious, but if you mean what I think you mean, I think it's perfectly fine. Maybe it explodes. Maybe the dream that differs flies away and explodes somewhere safe. Somewhere where everyone loves explosions and everything is  either fire proof  or on fire already.

P.S. That was a great poem.

The ending based off of Langston Hughes' poem, right? Dream Deferred? We studied it in both English and History last year.

I think that the explosion that was in Langston Hughes' poem wasn't a bad thing though. I think it meant that when a dream keeps being pushed back, "deferred," it eventually won't be pushed back any more and then "explodes." I'm guessing that what you mean by your dreams exploding is that they no longer are possible, or that they don't hold anything for you anymore.
