I just got a main singing part in an amatuer musical company! They are doing a production of the Sound of Music and I am seriously jumping up and down right now. The production will be played by 8-16 year old actors/actresses, which is one of the reasons why I was so suprised by the role I received. Guess what it is! I'll give you a clue, I'm not playing a child role, even though I auditioned for Brigitta in the first place. I am really nervous for the first rehearsal, does anyone have any tips or advice?

Thanks, Admins. No, I was not chosen as Maria, but I am in many of the same scenes as her. Good guess! Thanks for the advice, I'll try and remember that.

Lily, I'm so proud of you! You must have done an amazing job in auditions! In the rehearsals, bring your script and a pencil, and write down what they tell you to do. Then go home and practice, practice, practice!

Congrats, Lily! I do theater myself, and I'm happy to hear that you got such a big part (I kid you not, the largest role I've ever had in a play was Cindy Lou Who)!
