Hello all! This was an idea for a contest I just had, and I thought I'd try it out. It's both an art and writing contest, so if you don't specialize or like one thing you can compete with the other. I also might be using something I don't see very often with contests on CB- doing prizes for the winners of the contest. (Just for fun! ^^)
"So Clouded, what is this contest anyways?"
CB is a very creative and imaginative place, and I wanted to celebrate that with this contest. Have you ever participated in a ski lodge, RP, or solo write you loved? Do you have any AE, yours or someone else's, whose character you adore? Or have you written something yourself that you're proud of? Well, this contest is about just that.
Basically, you fill out the form below with any of the aforementioned solo write, ski lodge, RP, AE, characters, etc. that you like. Anything that originated on CB! Then you take that and either write a story set in the world or with the characters in whatever you've chosen or draw art based off the story/characters; it just has to be a story or character (no matter how old-it could be the very first RP or the latest!) that was written by someone here on our very own Cricket Chatterbox.

I'm going to have separate winners for art and writing, because it's hard to try and compare the two. Unless not that many people join one category... we'll have to see how this contest turns out, I guess.

1st place winner with art will recieve- A fullybody-drawn (meaning the whole figure) of any character they want from me. :)
1st place winner with writing will recieve- A 700+ word story about anything or anyone they like. :)

And that's it! I'm very excited to see how this contest turns out and how all the creativity of CB can be translated into pieces by you guys. :) Also, this contest will end on May 7th, which should give you plenty of time to finish it. I can extend the due date if anyone needs, though.

Okay, thanks, CL! Although I actually just changed my mind, so I'm doing it off of some AEs, that way I don't give away my Ski Lodge. xD

Zeon and Quill for sure, though.

RP stared at the blank piece of thread. She'd joined this thread to write, but she couldn't/ Sighing, she got up and walked out the door. After she was well away from the thread, maybe a few pages away, she started to look around at her surroundings. To her right was an old candy shop and a little ticket shop, selling tickets to X's Ski Lodge. There was also a few picturing studios there. She walked up to one. It was advertising the Continental, Chatterbox, Picturing Team. RP slumped down on a bench next to a SI. She was bored. RP didn't know how she just had lost the "Spark of Wow", as Cricket's Buggies stated it, she just, well, had.
RP started to try to recongnize the other CBers on the road. "Clouded Leopard, no, wait, that's Scylla. Esquire, Dandelion. Dandelion's doing a wonderful picturing job . . ."
Soon, RP was bored of that too. Suddenly, A figure dressed from head to toe in pink, crashed into RP. "Whaddya doing? Oh no, now I'm using slang," RP yelled. The figure, it was an orphaned AE looked at her. "What do you think I'm doing? I'M OBVIOUSLY LOOKING FOR AN EGO!" the AE yelled.
He had begun to transform. Soon, he was a Pink, Fluffy, Unicorn with a Rainbow. "What the-" RP asked, bewildered, "You know, you're as silly as myself. I think I'll adopt you."
"FINALLY!" the AE yelled, "MY NAME'S TIMELESS, FYI!"
RP grinned. This AE was good at finding the Spark of Wow. "Come on, do you want to get pictured by Dandelion?" she asked
"Sure!" yelled Timeless.
Nobody noticed a black cobra slithering after them.

RP and Timeless were having a Wonderiffic time. They had visited the City of Down to Earth and established and AE chat thread. As a black cobra slithered after them, none of them noticed that she was an AE. The cobra transformed into a dark-haired girl, with an evil look about her. "Hello," she said.
"Who are you?" RP asked.
"I'm your new AE, apparently," the girl said, taking out an official decree by The Editors reading things about why RP had a new, and evil, AE.
"Okay," RP said, not so sure if she liked this AE.
"Excuse me, I saw you adopting AEs, I wondered if you'd adopt me, Umbra," a girl said from the shadows of a thread about braces. j
"Whoa, wait. What is your," RP motioned with her hand toward the cobra-girl, "name? And, sure, I'll adopt you Umbra. Are you a Shadow-Traveler? I've heard of them but I've never seen one."
"Yes," Umbra replied, shyly.
"My name is Sssssssnicker," Snicker told RP.
"Well, I'm in luck! Three AEs in one day! Meet Gigi, My CAPTCHA," RP said.
The foursome trooped down the street, Umbra disappeared and reappeared in the shadows while Snicker slithered along. RP had finally found the Spark of Wow!
