Star light, star bright, 

First star I see tonight, 

I wish I may, I wish I might, 

Have this wish I wish tonight.

The first star tonight is a rocket above my head. 

Arching across the sky, it's a shooting star. 

I watch you, stretched out across my bed, 

Watch you soar high, then turn in an arch. 

And before you disappear, I close my eyes,

Take a deep breath, and wish on you, 

Please don't let those shooting-star-tales be lies,

Because I need this wish to come true.
