Awkward Fangirling Moments

(or Awkward Fanboying Moments)

Who here has had moments when your Fandom got ahead of you, and you ended doing something really fangirly/fanboy...y? Yep. We all have. It's that awkward moment when someone unknowingly mentions something that sounds like something for your fandom, and you blurt something out, or do sme thing nuts, and then you get That Look.

This actully happened today in Spanish Class. We were talking about Puerto Rico, and how America claimed it during- the Spanish-American War.

Now, if you know anything about the Newsies Strike of 1899, you know that the prices of the newspapers were raised because of the Spanish-American War. My fangirling took over, and I blurted, "Oh, I love the Spanish-American War SOOO much!" Everyone, including the teacher, looked at me like I was totally mad, and one of the boys said, "Maggie, no one in their right mind would love a WAR."

By this point, I was literall\y biting my finger to keep from fangirling too hard. It was pretty embarassing. XD. 

Oh, and Tina said 'beux.' No idea what that means. XD
