Well, we haven't had one of these in a while, have we? Time for a new one, I say! Welcome, resident poets!
The rules are pretty simple. I am the first judge. I will give you a theme, and you must write a poem relating to the theme. Be creative with your interpretations! I will then judge the entries by a set date, and the winner will then be the next judge, and set the next theme. And so on, and so forth.
The first theme will be... *dramatic drumroll*
Stars! Whether you chose to write about the kind of stars you wish on, or the kind that take the stage, I will be eagerly awaiting your sparkly, shiny, beautiful poems. Have them in by... Saturday, March 18. Two weeks. Sound fair?

@Leafy: Yes! I was just thinking about rebooting it this summer. I'd participate, if I have the time. I haven't written much poetry for awhile, and I want to do some more now that school's out.

Since Rose Bud is on vacation and I was second, I’d like to choose the theme and judge so this thread doesn’t come to a halt. Is that all right with everyone? If it is, here’s the new theme: Seasons. You can write about winter, summer, spring, fall, all of them, a sports season, or even the next installment on your favorite TV show. Your poems will be due, hmmm... two weeks seems to be working, so July 12 (which also happens to be my friend’s birthday). I can’t wait to see what you all write!

Hey Rose, if you're back, do you want to judge together? I've seen people do that on writer/artist contests, and it seems like a good thing to do since I've already posted the theme.

You are welcome to go ahead and judge! I really do not mind. No problem there. And it would be easier since you posted the theme. I'm pretty busy and in and out this summer, so that's probably best anyways.
