Written Picturings!
~~~
So many people are doing visual picturings, so I want to bring back written picturings. This is sort of like a compliment thread, where anyone is allowed to do picturings, not just me. You can request them if you want, but giving is more fun than asking, don't you think? ;)
Here's Leeli! I missed her comment when I did some earlier.
Leeli: A little bird swoops through the jungle, diving and twisting throughout the vines and branches. The wind rushes past her face, the exhiliaration of flight filling her body. Sunlight glints off her dark gray feathers, and they flash violet, and turquoise, and green. White spots fringe her wing and tail feathers. With a trill of joy, she bursts through the leaf canopy, sun warming her back, only to dive back down again. She enjoys the freedom of flight, the freedom of carefree days in the jungle.
A girl stands with her chin up and eyes like slits facing her enemies. She is fighting a war, her wepon attached to her shoes and her only sheild her armor, which clung tightly to her skin, making her swet. The day was bright and screamed of happieness, a sence she didn't know well. No, not at a time like this. The bright sun was interpropriate for the sence that was going to play out, and the sun felt hot on her scalp and burned her hair. She could tell her enemies weren't taking the heat well either. Something that would slow them all down.
The battle-starter roared out, her voice like a whistle peircing the air. And emideitly both sides strike out, running for the prized object they came here for. The other team started with it, passing it from one to another. But she interjected and stole it, quickly running with the treasur to her treasure keeper. As an an enemy came up behind her, she passed it to her friend. They caught it and quickly kicked it into the treasure keeper...
It rolled and rolled and rolled across the ground, as the other team failed to intercet it, their last one jumping and htting the ground....
"GGGGGGOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL!!!!!!!" She screamed, high-fiving her team, the Treasure-Seekers.
They had won the game!
Nebula~
The sky was dark. Dark like the underside of a crows wing, a creature remarked to herself. Her eyes were darker then the night, her wings blending into the dark new-moon night.
Being a crow herself, she knew how dark that was.
Like the vast universe around them, like a black whole so far out into space.
Nothing like the sun or moon that gave light.
At times, the crow wished she could be an omen of trust, and light, and warmth, not darkness and death. I mean, people call her and her friends a 'murder' or crows.
She sighed ruffling her feathers, and landed easily on the beach of a pool, bending down to drink the darkness.
And as she did, a small ray of light lit the darkness around her. As she kept on drinking, the water slowly turned to black, to a magnificent mix of colors. And when she pulled away and looked at her feathers, she saw that she was covered in oranges and pinks and other bright colors, with only a few patches of black. She cawwed in awa, her caw catching in her throat and coming out not rusty, but a marvilous sound, like that of a song-birds.
And now she felt as if she was suposed to be part of the vast universe above, but not as the darkness that sorounded everything, but the things withen. The bright stars and planits and nebulas. Yes, she looked rather like a nebula, a burst of color deep in the black of space.
Thank you Scylla!
I love how you wrote it from the perspective of 3rd person; I felt like I was actually in the moment! I really love how you portrayed my personality too. I also loved all of the descriptive words! Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Elementgirl: You glance around the rocky mountain, ensuring that nobody is around, and dart into the cave before you. Once inside, you take a deep breath, inhaling the scent of stone and ancient magic. Moss and lichen drape the walls and ceiling, and water drips from a strand overhead into your short, dark brown hair. Your eyes are blue at the moment, you observe, glancing at your reflection in a small pool. You head farther into the cave, and see multicolored lights up ahead. Coming closer, you recognize the Elements. Each is an icon representing a unique aspect of the world, glowing, and almost living. Your eyes, now golden, crinkle in a silent smile. This is your home, you decide. With the Elements.
Welcom, Joan B., glad you liked it! I'll try and do some more...
Leeli~
A small sprout burst through the soil of the soft earth. I reaches up towards the sun, green stem shriviling under the watchful gaze of everyone else. But soon it burst up, up to stand next to the tallest flowers, pushing them away with her leaves to create more room for herself, florishing in the admiring gazes of people walking by. Her petals grew and florished, fanning out in aray of colors like red and pink and orange.
"Look!" Someone shouted, pointing to her. The flower shirviled, knowing these types of people tend to pick the flowers instead of look, like their suposed to. The flower garend called them weeds, for they worse worse then the uglyest flowers who grew above all and sucked the sun from their leaves and water from their roots.
The hand reached closer, and the flower knew it's intention. It would pick her, snapping her stem, and kill her.
The hand touched her stem, she winced, leaves brushing the wind. Then suddenly the hand drew away, wincing. "Och!" They cryed, cradling their hand, leaving the flower at peace.
She smiled internially, her petals blossoming outwards. Maybe a bit of retaliation is neccesary to survive sometimes, and protect the others around her.
