I think OC means Original Character, right? But what exactly is that? I appreciate any help.

OCs, or Original Characters, are characters you make up yourself. For example, I have a charrie, Diana Belladonna Mortem, who sprang into my head one day. Diana is a charrie I made up myself, so she's an OC. OCs are also used in fanfiction. I you make up a HP charrie, she would be an OC. Hope I got this right. :)
