Art Contest! I will be the judge for the first round. This will operate simalarly to Tux's photography contest. The judge announces a category, and the winner is the next judge. Please list ALL participants in order of their places, not just 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Honorable mentions are ok if someone didn't read the rules correctly or posted late. The deadline for each round will be two weeks from when the category is announced. Only post pictures of your own original work, and please take a photo of your drawing in clear lighting and simple background so judges can easily view. The first category is... Alright! Judging day was yesterday, and OM so sorry I didn't judge sooner! Everyone did a great job, but someone had to win. It was a tough choice, but here it is.
In First: Bluebird! I loved your paintingM it totally counts as a mythical creature, and it seriously looks like it came out of a book! You could be a professional illustrator someday! I'd love it if you'd give me a few tips!
In Second: Riddler! (You did the Kitsune, right? Sorry, I might get some of these wrong) I loved the brilliant colors you chose, and it is a wonderful piece of Art.
In Third: Micearenice! Frank was just so amazing! I especially liked the expression on his face.
In Fourth: Claaws! Your Thunderbird was great! The attention you paid to the detail of the individual feathers was amazing, and I must applaud you for that.
In Fifth: Pheasantwithbooks! I really loved the pegasus, and the extra swirly embellishment you added under the name just set it on fire!
In Sixth: Zen! Your Anime cat person does count as a mythical creature! Great job! I think you did escpecially well on the eyes!
In Seventh: Pepper Star! Your mermaid was very nice, and I liked how her arm was up like she was swimming!
Congrats everyone, and great job! I don't how some of you do so well! Bluebird, this makes you the next judge! Please choose the category and deadline! And if I got anybody wrong, o apologize profusely, and please let me know!

The second category is...
TIME TRAVEL! Draw anything from the past or future. (it can even be a memory from your childhood, or a futuristic world that you create yourself) Same rules as before. Have fun!

Congrats Bluebird (knew you were gonna win, if you didn't there was gonna be consaquences) and CL, the Katsune was yours, right? Not Riddlers. Riddler didn't even join! SO YOU GOT SECOND CL! Congrats!
Also, unfortunatly I cannot do the second one, finals week is the week after next week (ahahahahahhahahhahahaha) studdying so hard (when im not distracted) so I'm gonna dissapear from the face of the earth for a little while untill thats done.
So good luck everyone! and sugestion, maybe not judge the quality of the work, cause in that case Bluebird is gonna win every other contest! Maybe on like, the intrest of it, or the color, or the way they drew it, or the intrestingness (yep made that word up). Just a sugestion!

I like your idea, Claaws, but I think you could have found a better way to say it. It seemed a bit hurtful, and maybe it's just me, but you seemed to be saying Bluebird is way better than all of us. Which may be true, but even if it is, I think you could've found a kinder way to say it. Also, the point of judging isn't supposed to be based so much on opinion, but rather on quality. I understand your concern, but Bluebird definitely WON'T win every round because one, she's judging this round, so she won't be participating. Two, new people will join and leave this thread. And three, if this ends up happening, I will put in place a few rules. But, thinking harder about your post, I think that I might add in extra judging categories such as interestingness, cuteness, detail, etc. But for now the contest will remain the same. I do appreciate your ideas and help though, and will take them into consideration. I don't think you meant to hurt anyone by your post, and I'm not upset with you in any way. And if this comment is at all offensive it hurtful to you, I'm sorry, and please let me know how you feel. :-)

Oh, I'm sorry Leeli! I think everyone's drawings are AWSOME, but I think we can all agree that um...Bluebird's cenatar was awsome too. what I ment to say was that if I beat her then there would be consquences. And I said every other contest, and maybe someone else would be chosen every other time also? I think you should definatly do like, cuteness or intrestingness, not just quality. Because some people can do drawings with better quality, while others and make theirs more cute or awsomly strange or fabulously weird. Everyone has different talents, not everyone's is quality. Do you get what I'm saying? It's sorrta like sports, some people can do football and have the build and consentrantion for it, while others have the build and focuse for dance. Just to make it more fair, I think you should deffenatly change it from quality to other things eevry round.
But GOOD JOB EVERYONE! I loved ALL OF YOUR DRAWINGS, and while Bluebird's had better quality, Zen's and CL's were ADORIBAL, Peper star's had awsom designs on the tail, Phesent w/ books was beautiful and Micearenice's had awsom characture and shading tequnics. Can't wait to see everyone's next submitions!

Yes, I definitly see what your saying Claaws. And here are the new rules:
1. Must judge in five categories: overall, and four more that the judge can choose. The judge can choose them. Some examples are: Cuteness, Interestingness, Detailed, Best Shaded, Realistic, Whimsical, or Pretty. There will be five winners, one in each category, and one in overall.
2. No one can win in more than one category.
3. All of the winners could maybe go to championship and see who wins, and I'll make a separate thread for that.
