A message to the Admins. Not necessarily going to become a thread, I just wanted to get this through to them.
Admins...
I'm really sorry to say this, but I have contact with 2 CBers outside of Cricket. And they were talking...and were really upset.
Because, of, well, I think his/her nickname is the 'Sassy Admin' in the CB community. I'm not sure if you guys have heard that nickname....
But, anyways, this said Admin is a little sarcastic. She/he may not realize this, but she is. And, well...
Some of my friends are upset because they've been chastised by this said Admin, and one of them is kind of emotional.
She was near tears.
I respect all of the Admins equally, but I just wanted to bring this up because kids do take things seriously, and using quotes from someone's post in a sarcastic manner feels rude to me and my friends. We don't hate you guys, and we love you equally, but tone is interpreted different online and I just don't want to see my friends upset over it again.
I still respect and appreciate you, Admins.
-An upset CBer
Dear CBer,
Responding in a sassy or sarcastic tone is never our intent. I'm not aware of any such responses from Admin. It's hard
for us to know what you consider sassy or sarcastic without reference to
a certain reply. We may quote previous comments in responding to
specifics in them but our only honest intent is to explain our response
most fully and foster an honest discussion.
It is important for everyone to remember that tone and intent can be easily misinterpreted, especially in email or an online forum.

I have never seen ANY of the Admins act sarcastic. Like Admin said, it can be easily be misenterpeted.

I have to agree with Cho Chang, but I have a felling this "Sassy Admin" isn't even an admin at all.

No, I've been sassed by an Admin many times. I was the one who came up with the term "Sassy Admin." http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/chirpatcricket/node/250396
Here's Scylla's comment:
Yes, and it's very upsetting. Our questions are very valuable and if "The Editors!" don't think they're worth their time, then..... Well. Maybe there were too many questions to answer?
And we may just be really swamped covering for each other's vacation times. We apologize for the delay.

I'm sorry you feel that way, Mei-xue. That is never our intent. We are a small staff and do our best to keep up with many demands upon our time.

Well... no offense to Scylla or anyone else, but to me, that question sounded a lot ruder than the admins' reply. They do actually have real lives beyond this website, and can't really be expected to be on 24/7 to answer every single one of your questions.
I don't believe I've ever been replied to sarcastically by an Admin before, although I have felt the urge to break something numerous times due to their excessive censorship... but no matter. They're just here to keep the community safe.

I agree with HAB. In that particular scenario Mei mentioned I believe Admin's response was appropriate. They do have lives. They aren't robots.
And, yeah, I've had stuff censored by the Admins that I think is important to say. It annoys me, sure, but overall you guys do a great job running the site.
Thank you.

As the others have said before, it seems to me like the Admin who made that comment wasn't being intentionally hurtful (I honestly can't see the issue with it) and while sometimes the censorship is irritating, the Admins do a great job running the site and I really appreciate that.

Hey! Stop saying unkind things about the Admins! They do the best they can to keep this website safe for us. If someone was saying the things you're saying about the Admins to me, I would be feeling pretty sad and unwanted right now.
