Flute players
Flute players rule the universe!!! Well... that might be a bit of
an overstatement.....but...Oh well!!!I think flutes are really cool!
They can be in orchestras, but can also play jazz! Do you know that
Tony Snow, former white house press secretary, was an amazing jazz flute player!! The flute is really versatile! It also sounds beautiful!! On this thread we can talk about flutes....and *sigh* other instruments we like. Any flutists out there? (is that how you say it? flutist? flautist? I'll just go with flute player for now!!)
p.s. Winterheart, It's me, Silverbrook.
p.p.s. Don't get confused. That's just names from a roleplay on blab about books.

Hi, Silverbrook! Flute players DO rule the universe! I made another thread about the same thing, it's probably on the last page.

Okay, now this one is on the last page.

Cool, another Oregon flute player! :) You said on the other flute post that you're playing Russian Sailor's Dance for band? A few months ago one of the orchestras I'm in played Russian Sailor's Dance, except I actually play viola in that group. But it has a really good viola part, which is sort of unusual. What other flute music are you playing? Right now I'm working on Poulenc's Sonata for Flute and Piano, and I just finished Faure's Fantasie for Flute and Piano. Another one of my all-time favorite pieces I've played is Flute Concerto No. 1 in G Major. :) Flute rule! :)

CLARINETS RULE THE UNIVERSE, NOT FLUTES! HA ha
(May 4, 2009 - 10:23 pm)
I SECOND THAT!!! CLARINETS AND PIANOS RULE THE WORLD!!! I've played the piano since first grade, and I started playing clarinet last January!
(May 5, 2009 - 11:50 am)
PIANOS DO RULE!!!!!!!!!!! The first song I learned was "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star." I taught myself! Now, I am going to go play the piano!

Yay! Two other flute playing Oregonians! ♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫

I disagree. Clarinets are too loud. (maybe that's because Jenni plays clarinet with the bell right next to my ear....) I think flutes are wonderful, though. But I think the piano, violin/fiddle, and flutes should rule the universe. Piano can do classical and jazz, and violins and flutes can do the same.

Grrr! Emma L! Flutes do too rule!! Umm, just to let everyone know, Emma L. and I have been freinds since second grade, so I can tell her weird things like what I'm about to say and she will understand what I mean.....
Cinderblock!! :-) Tada! And the drink of the day is... hahaha! You are a weird M&M!!! Go Eeeees!! Mr. B rocks! Mr. Nelson does, too!!
Don't ask!! Inside story!!

To answer your question, Maddy, not much!!! :-( Just the ones I named,
"Declaration and Dance" ~Larry Clark, "Russian Salior's Dance" ~ (arranged
by) Andrew Balent, "Jazz Jubilee" ~John Edmonson, and "Kingsridge" ~Quincy
C. Hillard. We're also working on Essential Elements Book two. See, I'm only in my first year of playing. I really like doing "Hill and Gully Rider" in E.E. Bk. 2. It's like you can hear the words "hill and gully rider!" in the song! Has anybody else played that song? Does anybody live in Albany, OR, besides the other Emma and me? All the flute music I named exept for the music in E.E. Bk. 2 and "Kingsrige" has flute solos.....and I'm the only flute player in my period!!! It freaked me out at first, but now I'm mostly used to it. FLUTE PLAYERS RULE THE UNIVERSE!!!!

Cool! :) And in my first post on this thread I meant to put "flutes rule", not "flute rule". :)

YAY FLUTES!! I am feeling very random today!! The pickle fairy told me I was gonna be a rabid squirrel from a day-care center when I grow up!!
