Chatterbox: Pudding's Place
The Dramatics: Theater Tour and Workshop!!!!!

You are sitting at your desk, trying to figure out the algebra worksheet your teacher gave you. Maybe you shouldn’t have asked for extra homework, you think, staring at the pile of history packets and writing assignments that threaten to fall off of your desk. Oh well, you sigh, picking up your pencil again, and turning your attention back to your homework. Hmmm, what’s 7c(-4) + 97? You stare fiercely at the paper, twirling your pencil, using the sheer force of your brain power to make the answer to magically pop onto the the paper, when a creamy envelope drops onto your desk in a shower of rainbow sparkles.
Oooh! Your homework is gone (temporarily, at least), and you pick up the envelope. Immediately, you notice that there is no address on the front. Turning it over, you find a wax seal (like the kind in Harry Potter) embossed with a capital “D”. You slide your thumb under the envelope’s flap, and break the seal to reveal even more rainbow glitter inside of the envelope. You pour it out, puzzled, and watch as the glitter magically transfigures into a letter. You’re even more surprised when it begins to speak:
“Ahem. Dear Chatterboxer, you have been invited to an exclusive theater tour and workshop hosted by The Dramatics theater. Enjoy acting classes, costume designing courses, and choreography workshops based on a selection of noteworthy musicals, including Hamilton! You may bring two guests to accompany you during your stay at the 5-star Theater Tale Hotel. Pack your bags quickly, because space is limited to 12 CBers and their guests. Simply step outside to be teleported to your destination!
Enjoy your stay,
The Stage Manager
The Dramatics: Theater Tours and Workshops
Wow,you think. You love musical theater, and an excuse to skip school would be great. . . Even though you love school, you don’t really love the homework. Then the letter begins to speak again:
“Oh, dear me, I’d almost forgotten the terms and conditions!
1. You may not bring tortillas of any kind, as the Stage Manager happens to have an incredibly abnormal allergy to tortillas.
2. The Dramatics: Theater Tours and Workshops are not responsible for any injuries, abductions, highway robberies, or murders of any sort.
3. Please contact the Stage Manager with any queries regarding the selection of musicals. You may suggest one, and the Stage Manager will consider it depending on the amount of chocolate and books you bring her.
4. There will be no wi-fi signal at the theater, so there is no need to bring any electronic devices. There will be iPod-like devices for guests to listen to Hamilton all day.
5. Walls are sound-proof for any guests who would NOT like to hear Hamilton all day.
6. In the (unlikely) event of an emergency, the theater has communication devices to reach the outside world.

CBers,
Don't worry, I haven't abandoned this ski lodge.
I am really, really, really sorry for not being able to get the next part recently. I've had alot of homework and projects, and I haven't had that much time to write.
Never fear, the next part is coming soon. Or the next sixth of a part.
Again, really sorry 'bout the wait.

It's fine! I just didn't want this thread to die.

In my last post, I accidentally put Group 2 twice. . . the group that’s with Melissa is Group 3, but I’m sure you’ve already figured that out.
Day 2, Rest of Part 2
The Stage Manager briefly explained the different exercises that each group would be doing, seeing that the CBers were itching with excitement. Group 1, with the Stage Manager, would be playing “Alphabet Scene”, while Group 2, with Marissa, would be playing “Freeze”, and Group 3, with Melissa, would be playing “Party Quirks”.
While the Stage Manager was talking, the murderer took the opportunity to drop a few drops of their super secret poison into the muffin they had stolen earlier that day. Soon, the Stage Manager finally stopped talking, and it was almost too easy to slip the muffin into a CBer’s pocket as they frantically rushed to find their groups.
~~~
In Group 1, the Artist was bursting with excitement. Although she had never played “Alphabet Scene” before, she couldn’t wait to try it.
“. . . will have to act out a scene that starts with the letter picked.” finished the Stage Manager. “Who would like to try it out?”
The Artist had zoned out on the beginning of the instructions, but she suspected that it couldn’t be that difficult, and immediately raised her hand.
“How about the Artist and Echosong for our demo?” asked the Stage Manager. The Artist bounced to the front of the group excitedly, while Echosong looked around, confused. Evidently, she had been zoning out too.
“Any one of you can suggest a letter,” said the Stage Manager, who realized soon after that she should have picked a volunteer, because the AEs in the group began to shout out the most random things that were mostly certainly not letters.
“Cheese!”
“Pickles!”
“C!”
“H!”
“HAMILTON!”
“M!”
“CATS RULE THE UNIVERSE FOREVER!”
“S!”
“MY NAME IS ALEXANDER HAMILTON!”
The Stage Manager shrugged, and Echosong took the gesture to mean that she could choose one of the options shouted out.
“CATS RULE THE UNIVERSE FOREVER!” squealed Echosong, flopping over to the side. “WE WILL VANQUISH YOU, EVIL POODLE!”
~~~
In Group 2, Marissa quickly got everyone’s names, then went on to explain the rules of “Freeze”.
“Two people will act out a scene, then anyone from the audience can yell “FREEZE” at any point, and then they will have to enter the scene as one of the actors and continue the scene.” Most of the AEs were confused by Marissa’s description, but were equally anxious to play, and didn’t say anything when she asked if there were any questions.
Marissa picked Owlgirl and Autumn Leaves to start, and the exchanged identical grins before breaking out, “Ten Duel Commandments”. Charles groaned inwardly.
As they finished up their song, Owlgirl teetered backwards, like she had been shot, and Fluffy decided that it was the perfect moment, and yelled, as loud as possible, “FREEZE!!!”
Owlgirl was caught by surprise, and caught off-balance, and struggled to regain her balance. After several long seconds of arm-flapping and squealing, Owlgirl managed to stand upright again and let Fluffy take her place.
But Fluffy had forgotten that he would have to start where Owlgirl had stopped— in the middle of falling over.
~~~
Mostly everyone in Group 3 had played “Party Quirks” before, so Melissa got right on, picking Windswift as the host, and giving everyone their “quirks”.
“You think that you’re a cat,” she whispered to the Riddler, who nodded and walked into the “party”.
“You think that you’re an Olympic swimmer,” she told Kestrel.
“You adore llamas,” she whispered to Milli.
Meanwhile, Princess Icicle was getting very bored waiting in line, and also hungry, too. She then realized that there was something in her pocket that was not there before. . . she rummaged for a bit, then came up with a chocolate chip muffin with weird green spots. Huh, she shrugged. It’s probably food coloring, she thought, and took a huge bite.
Immediately, she began to feel weird but ignored it (she was really, really, really hungry) and kept eating. When she finished the muffin however, she looked down at her toes and screamed.
“My toes! My toes are GREEN!!!! They’re ruining my outfit!” Melissa jogged over to see what the fuss was about, and saw that in fact, the AE was turning a very bright shade of neon green.
The murderer facepalmed. How could they have been so stupid? They had put the neon green skin pigment in the muffin instead of the poison. Next time, they wouldn’t make any mistakes.
The Stage Manager quickly called the theater’s emergency nurse, who took her to the nearest hospital and promised that she would turn Princess Icicle back to a normal color in no time.
Acting Workshops were over anyways, and the CBers headed out to lunch.
~~~~~~~~~~~
R.I. N.G. Rest in neon green, Princess Icicle, although you didn’t actually die!
Sorry about the long wait! I hope it was worth it! Also, just to let you know, like Owlgirl, when I post as The Stage Manager, it means a new part is out, but when I post as Stage Manager/Sept, it means that I'm answering a question or something like that.
