@Scylla: Sorry, I couldn't wait to post this. I had it all written up already by the time I saw your post.
Okay, before I announce the winner, I want to say a couple of things:
--There will be no second and third place in the ranking. With only four entries, it didn't make sense to me to have a second and third place because this was a very close competition, as in PHOTO FINISH close.
--Everyone did an amazing job!!! I can tell everyone put a lot of effort into their pictures. So congratulations and kudos to everyone!
--Lastly, if you didn't win this, please remember that this is just one person's opinion. Plus, this one contest doesn't or shouldn't reflect on your ability as an artist.
Now on to announcing the winner...
And the winner is... OtR!!!
@OtR (for the daydreaming picture): OtR, the style you use here is simple, but you do a lot with it. Plus, it's really well drawn throughout. The figures here are all so cute! And the scene is really interesting, both playful and relateable at the same time.
Great job and congratulations!

@Gared: This is cute! I love your color choice here and the way you arranged the frog and the fly! I can almost imagine what's going through that froggie's head...
@Mei-xue (for Aphrodite): I love the way you put Aphrodite in a very traditional setting here (in the ocean, with her special belt, etc.). I especially like the way you drew the waves. The design you used really captures the movement of the ocean. I also like the folds in her gown, and of course, her kawaii eyes.
@Cho C.: I love your use of colors here. They really pop out! I especially like the way you drew the hair. The flowing lines and the shading makes it look very natural! I can tell that this must have taken you a long time to get it just right. Lastly, the figure is very well drawn (i.e. proportionate), and I love the cat ears!
