Do any of you guys do cosplay? I like making my own costumes. I recently cosplayed Nightcrawler from X-Men and won $100 in River City ComiCon's costume contest. Not shabby!

I also met Nichelle Nichols, who played Lt. Uhura on the original Star Trek.

Costume+play=Cosplay. It's just dressing as fandom characters and running around in character.

HIGLIGHTS OF COSPALY YESTERDAY+THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY:

I was mistaken as male multiple times (because I was cosplaying a male character) and even had a girl say "hey if you want I'll give you my number". I gently explained that I was female. That was awkward. I see it as a very successful cosplay.

Also, I took a picture with these (I think it was a couple?) two guys cosplaying Spiderman and Deadpool, and the guy cosplaying Deadpool kept imitating my German accent.

All of these people wanted to take pictures with me. There was this one adorable little boy in a Pikachu costume who was like "MOM IT'S NIGHTCRAWLER" and I said "Hello, kleine maus." He squealed and ran.

If so, here: 

I made the red v shaped thing, the insignia, the gloves, the boots, the tail, and the fangs. The only things I didn't make were the black bodysuit and the wig+ears.

I don't really cosplay, but last year I dressed up as Brendan/Ruby/III gen male Pokemon trainer and had a really good time. I still have the costume, so whenever I can, I wear the Ruby hat and then it's like I've become one with the "Ruby" persona.

I know I want to dress up as Kefka in the future, but this year, I might try dressing up as Mitsunari from Pokemon Conquest because he's a child in that particular game and because I'll be seventeen, I probably won't have too many more years in which I'll look like a kid.

In other random news, due to some weird health problems, I probably won't get any taller (barely five foot three, rip), but at least I won't sound like a twelve-year-old in a few years.
