ART POSTING
(Subject not going through....Third time's the charm...??)
Art stuff thread starting...NOW! If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff! I would love to see other people's art so post away! They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff. You can use any media, including digital, like I do! Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other. Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN! If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing. Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from. You don't have to be polished with your art. I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon. I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why. I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that. If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.
Going to post a picture of my OC, Tuxedo, if this post goes through okay.

Just because you draw one style doesn't mean you can't do another! I draw manga, but O can do other things, too!

This style isn't my area, but I like the expression in the eyes. Maybe you could post your progress later when you're done. That would be cool beans. :) Lap out.

Oh I like it! I'm not that great either but here's what I think:
you should add some color to make it pop more. Also outline in pen so the erase lines are less obvious.
I like the hair it looks really realistic. I have hair sorta like it and I like how you made it so tangled like rat nest ( I know what that looks like from experience )
I also like the thoughtful expression like there really thinking.
Good job! With more practice you could make a really great realistic drawing!

@The Bookish Texan-
I like it! That point view is always hard for me to draw. I think people call it 3/4 view? Where it's kind of from the side but kind of not? I don't know.
(April 26, 2016 - 7:26 pm)
@bluebird thanks! Actually, this angle is easiest for me, for some reason; it's really hard to draw faces from the front!
(April 27, 2016 - 12:57 pm)
Man, you're all amazing artists!
I honestly don't know what this is, but I'm pretty happy with it, even though it's really simple. Trying to draw hands for me is like draining a lake with a washcloth, so I'm surprised it turned out alright.

Aw, thanks HAB. But all ya gotta do if you really love something, is work really hard at it, and be determined to get better! Always works.

I'm nowhere near as good as Lap with my digital art, or even in the same plane as Micearenice, but I did draw a picture of my Warriors OC, Moongleam.

@Hotairballoon: Nice! I like the eye on the hand. Reminds me of something I saw in an RPG. I think it was something about a wizard shop. Oh, and I like the metaphor. It's very colorful.
@Clouded Leapord: I like the eye of your kitty. The gradient effect is cool. I take it this is digital. If it is, could you tell me what app you used? BTW, what's Warriors? Is it a video game or a book or something? Sorry, I'm behind the times. Going to read Nausicaa of the Valley now. :)
Warriors is a book series about cats in the wild.

As the Admin said, it's a huuuge book series about cat warriors living in the wild, four Clans, wars and such. As for the app, I used a program called Sketchbook (Light, I think. Definitely not Sketchbook Pro, it costs cash) to draw it.
And one more thing-- I love Nausicaa of the Valley too! All Studio Ghibli films, in fact. My favorite is Your Neighbor Totoro. What's yours?
(April 28, 2016 - 7:40 pm)
Ooo! I love my neighbor Totoro! Ponyo is also really great. And the secret life of Arriety.
(April 29, 2016 - 6:07 am)
Hey, I use Sketchbook, too! Well, just not as often as I used to. Now I usually use Pro Create. I think the Warriors series sounds interesting since I'm bonkers for cats. I'll make sure to check it out later. Oh, and my favorite Studio Ghibli anime is My Neighbor Totoro, too! The ending was so cute. Oh, have you watched Wolf Children? It isn't Ghibli, but it's really good and kind of long. Oh wow, just realized that if you reversed the two middle letters of my captcha code, you'd get my name! (My real name, not Lap R.) (O_o) <---- This is my face when I realized that.
(April 29, 2016 - 3:36 pm)
ME TOO!!!!!!!Those were actully the first animes i ever watched.

Here are some phoenix feathers.
(May 1, 2016 - 11:11 am)
I like the feathers, they look so pretty! Oh! Just noticed we both live in Nowhere! Pretty sweet out here, ain't it. I'll make sure to post more art here, since the thread is sort of petering out.
