(Subject not going through....Third time's the charm...??)
Art stuff thread starting...NOW! If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff! I would love to see other people's art so post away! They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff. You can use any media, including digital, like I do! Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other. Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN! If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing. Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from. You don't have to be polished with your art. I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon. I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why. I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that. If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.

It's tiiime for a cake dump! during my last week of summer cake a baked five cakes, one a day.
The first is a chocolate butter cake with chocolate Swiss buttercream, decorated with sprinkles, crumbled waffle cone and melted chocolate. I know it doesn't look great, that's because I didn't have the foresight to take a picture before bringing it home so it got slightly smashed. If I were to make it again I would probably use vanilla frosting to balance out the dense cake or make the frosting darker because it wasn't that chocolatey.

Tuesday:
Here is a lemon sponge cake with French lemon buttercream, decorated with orange and lemon slices! I think the fan pattern turned out wonderfully. The flavors were a bit mild.

Wednsday:
A chocolate Swiss roll cake filled with whipped cream and strawberries, topped woth meringue. This is probably the best one. The flavors and textures balanced each other out beautifully! We ate it really fast. (It was small.) I want to make mini versions of it, one per person!

Thursday:
A red velvet torte cake with cream cheese filling and cream cheese frosting. This was good but not my favorite, though I got several compliments from neighbors on it.

And finally, the moment we've all been waiting for . . .
THE APPA CAKE!!!
This day was about utility, not flavor, so we didn't actually make the cake and frosting ourselves. Instead, we just assembled those things and decorated the cake with fondant! I didn't get much done in class (I was slow all the days, but here maybe I was especially slow?) So I only covered the cake with fondant and dyed the rest at camp, then put the decorations on at home. Honestly, I think it turned out awesome. It looks just like him.
All of them turned out great, I think. If you are curious how I made something, you can ask!
