ART POSTING

(Subject not going through....Third time's the charm...??)

Art stuff thread starting...NOW!  If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff!  I would love to see other people's art so post away!  They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff.  You can use any media, including digital, like I do!  Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other.  Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN!  If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing.  Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from.  You don't have to be polished with your art.  I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon.  I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why.  I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that.  If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.

Going to post a picture of my OC, Tuxedo, if this post goes through okay.

If you really did draw it make sure to offer identification and proof.

Cockleburr and I found the original piece on Deviant art. They are female, but sell professionally commissioned art.

This is plagarization.

I will ask the artist to make sure she/he is not actually Lola. But, Lola, if you did plagiarize you need to step forth. Other people put so much work in this piece, and it's terrible to claim it as your own and lie! You don't need to pretend to be good at something. We will like whatever are you post, but it HAS to be your own!

I asked the artist on deviant art.

Claiming credit for anything--art, writing, music, etc.--that is not your own creative work is a very serious matter. We trust Chatterboxers to submit only their own original work.

Here's my newest - sorry it says 'Owl Art', that was a mistake...do you like it? I just use pencils. They're easiest. I use tracing paper a lot - this one was used with tracing paper but also some of my own.

OMG, Foxy, did you seriously draw that? Wow, I'm jealous. I've tried Time and again to draw a good wolf, but they just don't turn out like this! Wow! Great job! I like your owl, too!

Can you sign your names on your art? Sorry for the hassle, but it's just good to make sure no one else copies your images! Sign Foxy or Lola or something :D

Alright, folks. I hate to be the bad cop, but yes: these two images posted by Foxy/Lola are indeed not owned or created by them. The red owl sketch, as posted above, has the same grainy quiality as many images taken and resized and posted from the internet are. Several people also mentioned their having seen it under other artists before on the Internet. As for the wolf "drawing", I only had to search for 'wolf' in Google and found the photograph that it is, except for that the one above has had some kind of filter or lightening put on it. {Screenshot I took of the google image below.}

What this user has done is called "art theft", and I'm very well-versed in it, as I've seen it countless times. It is the act of taking some creation that is not your own and passing it off as such. This can actually be illegal in some circumstances, and is generally just a mess.

Foxy/Lola, Cricket Chatterbox is a place that encourages uniqueness and creativity. I promise that none of us will judge your real art, but you will get into trouble for art theft. Show us what you can really do! Whether you're Van Gogh or just beginning, all of it's welcome here.

CL, it seems to me you are correct. However, I would like to say that to humans like me, all wolves look pretty much the same.

Hey, Admin, since this picture has been confirmed as a fake, could you delete it? I care about everyone on here, and I don't want anybody to get in trouble over this.

I have no way of knowing which picture you mean by "this picture." Your comment leads to a thread with many, many pictures. And are you sure it's a "fake"? And did you submit it? We usually only delete at the request of the person who submitted the comment or art.

Here is a drawing that was traditional art at first and then digitalized before and after- my idea was that you know the myth that crows/ravens like shiny things? What if a metal/crystal witch had a little crow friend that hung around her all the time? (Also, if you're wondering why I signed it Liaryn, that's kind of like my pen name- it's a mix of my first and middle names)
