Star Wars!
How many days until it comes out? 13 days? 12? But it's coming! SOOOOON!
I am pretty positive that at least some of you know your Star Wars really well and are going to see it. I have to admit I'm not super excited, but I'm not going into details, because it's more of a personal thought. I'd love to see it though, and my parents are getting tickets so we can see it at BAM! I'm looking forward to it now!
Erm.... Purpose of thread: Rant excitement, and in 13 days, scream about how awesome it was.
...Ta-da?

ELEVEN DAYS!!!! EEEEEEEEEE!!!! I LOVE Star Wars! We have Netfix, so I have watched ALL SIX SEASONS of the Clone Wars, and are hoping for Rebels for christmas. I know that tons of people don't like Rebels cause you can't see how it ties into the movies very well, but it really does. AHSOKA'S BACK!!!!! And Kanan? Oh Kanan. 14 year-old Caleb Dume is one of my current fictional crushes.

Total Star Wars nerd here. And I mean TOTAL. I've only seen about one and a half seasons of CW, to my eternal shame. I just don't really have time for TV shows, but somehow I fit fanfiction in...yes, I write Star Wars fanfiction. Rather obsessively, in fact.
I don't really know 14-year-old Caleb, but I do know a certain Togruta spy in her mid-thirties with a good deal of "underworld" experience, Force talent, and sass. Seriously, I'm willing to get into Rebels just because they brought her back. Ahsoka ROCKS.

I've only seen 4 and 5 so far, but I really want to see the rest before number seven comes out so that I don't get tons of spoilers. I LOVE Star Wars and I can't wait to see the rest of them!

Curio,
Caleb Dume was 14 when order 66 was issued, and he lived to tell the tale cause his master died saving him from the clones. There is apperently a comic series about it. Once again, YAY AHSOKA!!!

I know he was a Padawan. I know what you're talking about. His Master was Depa Billaba, right? That Chalactan on the High Council, Windu's former Padawan?

Yup.

I mean...there was the thing with Vaapad going wrong, a brush with the Dark of some sort but still, she must've gotten over that if she had a Padawan by the end of the Clone Wars. I'm kinda sorry she died- poor Caleb/Kanan. At least he ends up with a "Padawan" of his own to keep him on his toes. (Obi-Wan-ish story, am I right?)

From the snippets of the comics that I saw on google, that is all true. Caleb got huert during lightsaber training, so he went to the infermary and saw Depa in a bacta tank unconcious. Caleb felt a special connection to her, and she woke up for the first time soon after he left.
It does sound like Obi-Wan a lot doesn't it?

Curio . . . I thought you would be on my side on this subject . . .
(December 9, 2015 - 12:47 pm)
Um no offense but I think that Asoka is tarable. She doesn't even look real. I know I have said this before but I think the clone wars and star wars rebles are just horrable. The people don't even look real. So anybody who loves the true star wars say so. sorry again if this seems rude.

Well, they aren't supposed to look real, are they? I haven't watched many episodes or anything, although I've read a few comic books, and they're aliens. Of course they're going to look unrealistic. Can you really imagine an actual weapon made entirely out of light? It's science fiction. They can make aliens look like giant blobs with eyes for all I care; it's up to them. Not all aliens are human-looking.

It's not that. If you look at an Obi-wan ricture from epasode two and compare it with a picture from a galixy divided (that's the only one I know) you will see what I mean.

Yes- my sister doesn't like the animation in CW or Rebels either. But there's a difference between disliking how a character is drawn and disliking the character him or herself. I, for one, like Ahsoka's character a lot, and I don't mind the animation (though Pixar is better by a long shot). At least give Ahsoka a chance beyond simply condemning the way she looks when drawn somewhat unrealistically. (Please.)
Sorry if this seems impolite. I have about as much grasp on manners as Anakin, who has been compared to a rampaging bantha for lack of tact.
