The Princess Bride!
Has anyone seen this? I absolutely ADORE it. I first heard of it and thought, "Meh, just a boring sweet fairytale."
But no. Be prepared to experience a six-fingered man, ROUS, giant squids, and of course...
"My name is Diego Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
I'd love to hear your thoughts!!!

I LOVE this movie! I haven't seen it in forever, but 'INCONCEIVABLE' will always remain by my side. It's a lovely movie and the pope of bishop guy (Who was going to we Prince Humperdinkle and Buttercup) has a hilarious voice! And I LOVE the names! Especially Humperdinkle

Yes! This was a huge part of my childhood, it's amazing! I love the whimsical creative shows like these ones, and it's Indigo Montoya by the way.

I hated the book! Did you read abridged or unabridged? There are 27 pages of the queen UNPACKING HER CLOSET!!!

I had no idea there was an unabridged version! I read the abridged version by William Goldman. I think that's the only version?

I read the abridged, S.E, thank goodness, because apparently the unabridged is TOTALLY BORING. The author had little notes all through the book saying things like "and here, he just described every king to rule this place". But both the book and the movie are amazing! I keep begging to rewatch it, but it's not on Netflix streaming and my brother doesn't want to. He KNOWS IT'S ABOUT TWO WIZARDS OF FENCING AND STILL DOESN'T WANT TO WATCH IT! And yet he begs to watch "cop and a Half."

The Princess Bride is one of my absolute favorites. It's kind of a tradition for me and my family. I guess I read the abridged version, because I didn't read 27 pages of the Queen unpacking her suitcase that I can remember. It's been a while though.

I'm pretty sure the unabridged version doesn't exist and that the abridged versions's "notes" are just satire. You have to admit it's awesome, though!

I absolutely love that movie and the book abridged only. I haven't seen the unabridged and it seems sort of boring.

Basiccly, Goldmen made up Mortenstein and all of the comments are of his own revision. Isn't that awesome!
