Quote Fight Game!!
So I got this idea after reading this:
"You can achieve anything in life, provided you do not mind who gets the credit."
-Harry S. Truman
And then Nora replied:
"Giving credit where credit is due is a very rewarding habit to form. Its rewards are inestimable."
- Loretta Young
And I thought it would make a great game. So, here are rules:
-Make sure the quote is exact.
-Post a new quote ONLY after the last comment is visible, to avoid confusion.
That's all. Here is my quote:
"Money is like muck, not good except it be spread." - Francis Bacon.

Great idea! I love this; my friends and I will sometimes do a Hunger Games quote face-off like this!
"The lack of money is the root of all evil."
-Mark Twain

" Were there none who were discontented with what they have, the world would never reach anything better."
- Florence Nightingale

"Discontent, blaming, complaining, self-pity cannot serve as a foundation for a good future, no matter how much effort you make."

Hmmm......H.A.B., that sounds pretty much like it's agreeing with St. Owl's quote. Anyone have a contradicting one?

That was in response to Over The Rainbow.

Huh, this is cool but I have a fave by Socrates. It realy shows the meaning of learning.
"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing."
I've heard it this way: "The first step to wisdom is to know that you know not." They are variant translations of the same original statement, which was probably in Greek.

Oh yeah, I remember that! I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do for this game, but I have a funny quote that kind of ties in with Rainbow's.
"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit; wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad."
- Miles Kingston

Love that quote.

Right?!

"Intelligent? Someone's obviously never met me."
Twice Upon a Time by James Riley
Not entirely the same, but it seemed to go with the wisdom idea.
