*calms down* But seriously. The trailer was just... amazing. Jinora is pretty much as old as me now three years later and Mako's hair is slicked back like whaaat?! And at the end Korra says "I can't believe it... Toph?" eeeeee I'm fangirling so much right now!!
Ok I don't think there are a lot of LOK or Avatar fans here but just thought I'd post this since I'm super excited :D (I know I haven't been on much; I think I'll be able to get on more in October maybe)

I'm making a comic of what I predict will happen after the "...Toph?" moment. So far all I have is coloring in Korra, then scanning in the old Toph I made, then copying the drawing and pasting it and yeah phew. Fan art comics are harder than they look.

I'm so excited, like look at all the progress that has been made in the Avatar world: the Airbenders have developed new flying tech the rate at which technology is increasing is presumably exponential rate we're going to see Katara and Zuko and Toph and all the animation is incredible, the storyline is really building up you can tell that this is the end, this is the reckoning between the old and the new, between who we think we are and what we think our place in this world is I just a;sljf qowuih
As in, this is the end. I'm not crying about it. Nope. Not at all. I was what- 11? 12? I think when I watched ATLA, the show was so cool and so awesome because hey! My mom sometimes makes food like that! Hey! That totally looks like the taichi my grandma did at 5 in the morning! Hey, look, it's a representation of what I am in mainstream media that isn't Ni Hao Kai Lan! And I loved the death out of the Gaang. And at first I didn't like Korra, because she was moody and rebellious and what I considered to be nonsensible, but then I realized that that was me at times. AND IT WAS STEAMPUNK US20s!EAST ASIA it was so cool. Watching it end, the end of the Avatar World forever, is a physically painful thing for me, because I know that however it ends, it's not going to be an ending that can live on in my mind "oh these characters are continuing their lives, everything is normal and continuous" because the Avatar cycle is broken. Korra doesn't have her predecessors. She's alone, and if the cycle does continue, neither will her successors. In fact, she's undone what the very first Avatar did. As much as I love all the change in the Avatar world, the Avatar no longer really has a place in it.

Mako looks great with his slicked back hair and Kai is my age now and his voice is deeper o.O Prince Wu is a total dork but he's hilarious! JInora, Meelo and Ikki look great three years later xD The saddest part though was when Korra said "I wouldn't know her." referring to herself as the Avatar. Korra please feel better D:
