Does anyone else
Does anyone else like to listen to older or more unknown music? I'm listening to the classic In The Mood by the Glen Miller Orchestra, and I love to listen to 60s-80s music like The Cure or U2. That might just be me since I'm an out of place teen. :P

Hi ;)
I love that kind of music! My parents introduced me to it and I've loved those song ever since.
I just recently discoved the Cure and I like the perfectly peculiar songs- most of the time I just listen to The Lovecats though. That's my fave ;)

Yes! Go 80s music :D
I also like New Order's Regert, Steve Winwood and The Cars to name a few :3

AAAAAH THE CURE! "Lovecats" is my favorite, too. My parents put on the long-playing record of the best of the Cure, and it was pretty awesome.
I listen to older music, though recently I've also been listening to fairly new (and unknown) artists. Mostly I listen to songs my parents introduced me to, as well, so that would be The Cure, Dream Academy, The B52s, Deee lite, and the Postal Service, though they aren't as old (as well as many other artists I cannot remember at the moment). I like lots of different sorts of music, though, and my mood on one particular album can change from one day to the next. Right now I'm on a streak of listening to Fox Stevenson (who isn't an older artist at all) and electronic songs on the edge of dubstep. Of all those artists, though, I'd say the B52s are my favorite, though my favorite song of theirs is always changing. Right now it'd be something off their "Funplex" album-- either "Juliet of the Spirts" or "Keep this Party Going."
@Moss, I think there's a best of the Car's album on my iTunes library--I should listen to it!
80s music is so great. Or at least the ones that we still listen to today. I'm sure there is a lot of music that was burried in the 80s and will stay their forever.
Also, "SAFETY DANCE!" That's my favorite song.

I listen to a lot of jazz. Bebop era mostly, and mostly Charlie Parker. So yeah, 40s and 50s, I guess.

Yup, I listen to lesser known or older stuff all the time. I love John Denver, and I listen to music from things like The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink. Also Aselin Debison. While she isn't really old, she's lesser known.

I am also like that and I've listened to a couple by U2 and The Cure. I listen to 60's- 90's a couple from new millenium, what is your favorite song from that time period?

Hm, hard to say. I think "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey is good, and "Let's Dance" by David Bowie is cool. I think I'll go with... R.E.M.'s "It Happened to Today" but it could change ;) And I love Take On Me! Really catchy...

I like Don't Stop Believing, Take On Me, Helena Beat, but The Middle is more new millenium.
