No, I've never made any movies, but I really want to! We have A LOT of animals at my house, and they all do REALLY funny things, so they would make a great movie. But, I'm not really sure how to make one.:( Do you have any tips? What kind of movies have you made?:)

Do you have a video camera or a picture camera that take movies?  If you don't, the cheapest type you can get, is usually around $100, unless you get a discount price.:) Once you get a camera, it's sort of easy.  Pretty much, just go film your pet being funny.  If you want to actually put it on your computer, that isn't too, too hard.  If your camera has a memory card, than I can help you.  If it takes tapes or cds, than too bad.  Use the cord to connect your camera into the computer, or if your computer has a little slot in the side, then slide it in there.  Things should pop up on you screen, telling you what to do.  Once that is done, open up your movie maker.  If you have a windows, it should be called Windows Movie Maker; if you have a Mac, I'm not really sure what it's called; maybe iMovie???????  Anyway, you're going pick up your movie document and drag it into the movie maker.  You can proably figure it out from there.  There are lots of movie affects you can use, titles and credits, transitions, and lots of other thing.  Just experiment.  Sorry if I made that really confusing.

P.S. What type of animals do you have??

Luckily, my mom and dad let me use their camera to record movies, so I don't have to worry about buying one yet! YAY!:) No, you didn't make that too confusing.:) Now, I know where to put the things that I record into the computer!:):):) Thanks!:) I posted on your thread about pets, and talked about all of the pets in our house, (there are A LOT!!!), and what all of there names are.:) Thanks again!:)

A note on iMovie (the Mac movie program):

Given the choice, DO NOT GET iMovie '08 (this is the only time you will ever hear me say anything negative towards Apple) because it is truly, utterly horrendous.

I've read reviews that say that '08 is alright for YouTubers. It's not (I've made YouTube videos before, and tried on '08, didn't work to well) you can't do *anything*. No backwards, no slow motion, no speeding up, no cool transitions, very limited timeline control, no simple click-and-drop features, no fun visual effects - it's been stripped literally to the marrow. Not bone, mind you, MARROW. You can make things black and white, and thats about it.

Get iMovie '06. If you have '08 you can get '06 from the Apple website for free (it's what I did after discovering what an utter failure '08 was).

'08 is ok for slideshows, I guess, but NOT FOR VIDEO. I tried making a motion video and got fed up with the overly complicated timeline control and the fact that I COULD NOT make it go backwards because the program DIDN'T HAVE THE CAPABILITY, went onto Apple, and downloaded '06, which Apple has so kindly provided for free.

That movie, by the way, is now on YouTube. :)

Anyway I'm done ranting now.

That's really lame!  Windows Movie Maker isn't amazing (such as, it can't make clips go backwards), but it can at least change the speed (which is really hillarious with my friends!  One time, my really weird friend and one of my other friends and I made  a movie, in which we made a DISGUSTING omelet ((It had stuff like beef cooking powder, sugar, and tablespoons and tablespoons of black pepper and hot pepper!)), but, to make it a little more funny, I changed the speed and did lots of funny effects.  When we were done, Emily's ((the weird girl's)) mom made her do the dishes ((something she had never done before!!)) and I filmed her.  We were cracking up the entire time, and eventually she ended up falling on the floor, with all of the nasty black-green speckled pots with her, laughing hysterically.  Her little sister came in the room and started yelling, "WHAT?!?!  WHAT!?!?".  THat may not seem funny, but since I had been filming the entire thing, I made a short film with it and put it in slow motion, so it was sort of like this, "HHHAAAAAAA, HHHAAAAAA, HAAAAAA, ect."  "WWHHAATT???  WWWHHHAAATTT???".  It was pretty awesome.  I put it onto a disk and gave it to her and my other friends, and they showed it to their friends, who showed it to their friends, and now, half of the kids in Gorham know about it.  We decided that Emily suffered too much, so we never put it on youtube...) and stuff like that.  Wow, that was sort of off topic...

Oooh!  I didn't see that you asked me what types of movies I've made.  Sorry!  I've made cooking shows (all jokes, not serious!!!), talent shows, survivor shows (Survivorwoman!!), music videos, animal shows (like the Crocodile Hunter), haunted house shows (that one was really stupid!!), and even a remake of Jumanji (obviously, we couldn't get elephants and monkeys, so we made stuff up, like face paint to make a weird joker, and "wild animals" ((stuffed animals!!)) ). :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

There is a step on the movie maker, or save the file as a finished movie and use Windows DVD maker.
