Has anyone seen the trailer for The Giver yet?

I absolutely LOVED the book, and I think it would be so good as a movie. I particularly like the scene when Jonas gets the flashbacks. The only thing I wished is that it was shot in black and white. That's all the characters can see, in the book. When Jonas starts to see the red in the apple and his friend's hair, then they can shoot that in color, and gradually make more scenes in color. But I would have liked it if it started out black and white to really give the feel of the world.

Also, Taylor Swift is going to be in it, which seems slightly...not so good. I like her as a singer, but who knows if she can act?

I just watched the trailer, and read the Wikipedia article on the book. I agree that it should be shot in black and white.

Yeah, the fact that no one but Jonas can see in color is pretty much the whole point of the book.
