Chatterbox: Pudding's Place
Honors orchestra.
Honors orchestra.
1. I am (was? It's already over.) in honors orchestra.
2. I got to miss school on Friday for honors orchestra rehearsal. It was fun, but 8 hours of nothing but orchestra is kind of nightmarish.
3. Seating auditions were at the end of the day on Friday and I thought I did really bad, but I got 4th! chair, and there were 14 cellists total.
4. We spent all day Saturday preparing for the concert which was that evening. Again, slightly nightmarish.
5. The concert went amazingly well.
I was fighting the side effects of Benadryl for all of Saturday afternoon, so I'm surprised that I was able to do well in the concert at all.
Congratulations, Maggie! What an honor. What music did you play?

Congratulations, Maggie! What instrument did you play? I take piano classes, and we're preforming at the local nursing home on Saturday, where my great-grandma is living, so I'm really excited.

I play cello.
To answer the Admin's question, we played Celebration, Telemann Sinfonia, English Folk Song, and Wild Western Frontier.
Thanks, Maggie. Our orchestra is currently rehearsing something by Telemann, too, a suite for flute and string orchestra.

Good job on both the concert and the seat!
I'm in my school's band. We double as a concert band and a marching band. We have no orchestra, but we do have a violin player & a handful of string bass players. I play clarinet. There are three parts, three being the lowest & one the highest. I'm second part, fifth chair. I'm smackdab in the middle of the section, which makes me average. I'm perfectly fine with that! I'm also in our jazz band and wind ensembles. In jazz band I play fourth trumpet part on my clarinet & in wind ensemble I'm the only clarinet 3.
