Who thinks that

Who thinks that Peter Jackson can and should make a film trilogy of The Silmarillion?

I mean, it will be harder than LOTR and Hobbit, since it isn't so much dialogue and narrative as EPIC storytelling, but the plot itself is so riveting. The creation of the Valar, the Coming of the Elves, the Flight of the Noldor, Beren and Lúthien, Túrin Turambar, the Fall of Gondolin (for some battle action), the voyage of Eärendil and the destruction of Númenor would all make fascinating episodes--not to mention a nice portrait of Feänor himself, and the Silmarils.

I would think that would be so so fun. If I could (that is, if I were any sort of actress), I'd love to audition for the part of Niënor/Níniel. I somehow always liked the story of Túrin the best--because it's insanely tragic.

What do you LOTR fans think of that?

That would be really cool!!!!!!!! I've read the Silmarillion three times. My parents have not read it, because they could not get through it. It is fun-fun!!!

Um, YEAH!!!! I haven't gotten that far throught it, but The Silmarillion would be an AWESOME movie!!! We need to get like, 1000 comments here, and send it to Peter Jackson. Maybe he would make a movie, and THAT WOULD BE COOL!!

I found this online petition for Tom Hiddleston to get his own Loki movie; maybe I could create a petition to make a film of the Silmarillion.

I haven't read the Slimarillion, which is why I didn't post.
But from what Nightingale told me, I think it would be a great idea! Especially since a lot of people like the elves and would enjoy seeing more of them in picture, but find Tolkien's books hard to read. :)
