Favorite Movies!
I was wondering: what's everyone's favorite movies these days?
I have a lot of favorite movies, but my most favorites are Disney movies and The Sound of Music. Has anyone heard of The Sound of Music? If you haven't, it's such a good movie based on a true story. There is a lot of singing and I think people who appreciate musicals will like it.
Post your favorite movies here! And feel free to post your favorite actors too! ;)

@ Nina: I love The Sound of Music! It's a fantastic and inspiring story, and I love Julie Andrews in it!
Some of my favorites are most Disney movies, especially the old ones and the ones with Haley Mills, Felicity An American Girl Adventure, Anne of Green Gables (the ones with Meagen Follows), Grace Unplugged, the Tinkerbell movies, Courageous, and many many others. OOH! Also Brave!!! I love Brave! I'm an extreme Brave fangirl! Partly cause my mom tells me I'm almost exactly like Merida, and we're both archers who dislike romance!!!
I also like Red Dawn (1984). Has anyone else seen that?

@ Blonde Heroines Rule: I LOVE Disney movies. I also love Felicity and all of the American Girl movies! :D
I haven't watched the Molly or Kit American Girl movies, though. But I've watched Felicity, Samantha, and the Girl of the Year movies of Chrissa, Mckenna, and Saige. I love them all and they're soooo good!!!
I've seen parts of the Anne of Green Gables movie. I've never actually sat down through the whole movie, but I will when I can find the time. Brave is also a favorite of mine. It was kind of scary but I loved the plot, animation, and characters. It was also really exciting.
Thanks for sharing!!

@ Nina: Oooh! Definitely see Kit and Molly! They're both really really good! I loved them. The ending of both are really sweet. And Anne of Green Gables is just WONDERFUL!!! If you've the book, the movie is really like it, though there are definite differences. But with this, you don't mind. It's just... sweet, and wonderful,... indescribable!
And Brave was scary to me at first too! *semi spoiler* I literally jumped during that one bear scene in the ruins!

@Nina: Yeah, definitely watch Kit! Molly's is good, but Kit's is awesome, espically because it has a mystery.

@ BHR and Nina
I love the American Girl movies! I've seen Felictiy, Samantha, Kit and Molly. After Felicity, me and my sister went upstairs and she made me a ballgown out of blankets. It was awesome. XD
Brave is one of my favorite movies! It was so magical!
I also love, love, love the Studio Ghibli movies! Castle in Sky is of my favorite movies, along with Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, and Arrietty! Arrietty is actually based off of the Borrower books. I've watched those movies so many times that I've memorized parts. I've practically grew up on them!
Also, Secret of the Kells is a beautiful and amazing movie and one of my favorites.
Some of the siller movies like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Despicibal Me, I also like.
Rise of the Guardians was a really good movie. Plus, I have a crush on Jack Frost, so . . . .
Oh, and another movie I loved was The Legend of Guardians, the movie made after the Guardians of Ga'hoole series. They did a really good job and conveyed some of the feeling I always get with I read them. That sad, kind of regretful feeling. . . .
And the Hobbit! Can't forget the amazing movie of the Hobbit! My family went to see it all together on Christmas day last year, since we weren't home and we didn't really have a tree or many presents. So we walked to the town, Huntington, that was nearby nd saw the movie! It was one of the best Christmases of my life, even though I didn't get many present or even a tree, it was awesome!
Speaking of movies made after books, Hugo was also an amazing movie. Asa Butterfield played the perfect Hugo and they did everything so well. And the Tale of Desperaux was awesome, too!
When I was little, Stardust was another of my favorites. I haven't seen it lately, but I still remember how amazing it was!
Tinkerbell was hilarious, but not exactly my favorite. Still, I loved it!
Up was also hilarious and I loved it!
The Princess Bride was also an awesome movie! I only saw it recently, but I loved it so much!
The Narina movies were amazing, and I grew up on the books and movies. My family and my friend's family used to read the books and act out scenes and quote the movies and books all the time! They are a part of me.
Night at the Museum has always been one of my favorites. XD It's so funny and well made.
I liked Diseny movies, but not that much. They weren't that much of a part of my childhood as some other movies. The Land Before Time was one of the first things I watched seriously. My sister and I would watch them all the time, and I still can resite some of the lines from memory.
Yeah, my family watches movies a lot and I could go on all days with my favorites. ^.^ I'll post more later! XD

@ Corina: Lucky! I've always wanted a ball gown like Felicity's. And I REALLY want her red cloak. My mom is going to try and help me make one!
I too love Kiki's Flying Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, and The Secret World of Arriety.
And I loved Rise of the Guardians too! Jack Frost is so neat!
My favorite Narnia was the latest, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, cause it focused more on Lucy, who I personally like better and I think is far prettier than Susan. Though that's my opinion.
And the Tinkerbell movies!!! I LOVED Secret of the Wings, and I can't wait for the new one to come out! Anyone else?
(November 12, 2013 - 7:11 pm)
@BHR
It didn't look that much like hers, but it was awesome! XD Oh my goodness, I want her cape!
You should watch the rest of Studio Ghibli's movies! They are so good! XD
He was. . . *makes dreamy face*
Mine too! Lucy is so much prettier then Susan! I used to be dressed up like Lucy when I was little. And we would play Narnia. XD
I can't wait! I really, really can't! Watching Tinkerbell with my siblings is just hilarious because of the comments we make. XD Anyone else a Cheese fan? He is so cute!
(November 12, 2013 - 9:08 pm)
@ Corina: CCCHHHEEESSSEEE!!!!!!!!!!! OOOH my gosh, I love Cheese! He's SSSOOO cute! I want a little stuffed Cheese to keep with my Tinkerbell doll! I also want a Periwinkle, cause I love her too. AND FAWN! My favorite fairy is Fawn! She's so undercredited, it's sad.
(November 13, 2013 - 5:01 pm)
He is just the cutest. I have a doll of Fawn! She's my favorite fairy too! I know, I wish she would get more attention.
(November 13, 2013 - 10:53 pm)
@Corina, YES YES YES!!!!!!!
The Princess Bride and Legend of the Guardians--The Owls of Ga'Hoole are two of my favorite movies EVER! YES! *Virtual high five* And I know too much about the Princess Bride.... yeah. Taxes came before stew! (Fromt the book)
Some of my other favorites are the orginal Star Wars triology, and Muppet Treasure Island, which I haven't seen in a few years but it's still one of my favorite movies. Because pirates. And stuff. And Muppets!
I also really like the 1983 (?) version of Oliver! (I think it's Lionel Bart or sometime like that's version. I can play the songs on my horn!) THE ARTFUL DODGER IS AMAZINIGICLE!!!!
(November 13, 2013 - 10:05 pm)
@ Lexi
Legend of the Guardians was amazing. Did you read all the books? I haven't, I'm somewhere around To Be a King, not sure . . . . I want to watch the Princess Bride again. I only watched it once and it was amazing and now I really want to watch it like a million times! Yeah, that's how I am with movies. . . *high fives back*
(November 13, 2013 - 11:22 pm)
I also love the 1933 version of Little Women staring Katharine Hepburn as Jo!!! It's the most precious movie, and Katharine is a FANTASTIC Jo!
That, and any Winnie the Pooh movie ever made!
(November 14, 2013 - 1:11 pm)
@ BHR:
I loved Dawn Treader. It was really different from the book, but well acted.
Most of my favorite movies are old (meaning made before the millenium), but my absolute favorite from this century are the Lord of the Rings films. Words cannot express how much I adore these.
*brief fangirling moment*
Also, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. And Tangled. I loved Tangled more than any other modern Disney movie. EVER. Pooh doesn't count, since it was done in the fifties.
I also have a weakness for the Marvel films, but that's mainly only due to the incredible acting skills of Mr. Tom Hiddleston (Loki in Thor/Avengers).
(November 14, 2013 - 2:43 pm)
I'm a big action/sci-fi movie fan (although I like other genres, too). So: IRobot, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings, The Hunger Games, Die Hard... I recently watched Aquamarine again, which I hadn't seen in years and it was really great. Has anyone else heard/watched it?
@Nora- I love The Sound of Music! I actually have the music sheets for the songs and they always make me feel better when I play them.
Oh and I LOVE Pitch Perfect.
(November 15, 2013 - 12:01 pm)
OMG!!! I LOVE AQUAMARINE! It's been awhile since I've watched it though! And pitch Perfect is amazing!
