Favorite Music!
So, for those of you who love music, I want to know what kind of music you enjoy!
Share your favorite music style, your favorite song, or your favorite band, singer, or music artist.
Also, tell how different kinds of music makes you feel! Does pop make you feel energized, or does classical make you feel relaxed?

As I always say to this question, my all-time favorite singer is Aselin Debison!!! I love all her songs, and she's SUCH a fantastic singer!
I also really love John Denver!
My favorite kind of music is country and celtic with the occasional pop (guess that says a lot about me).
I also LOVE Kenny Loggins Return to Pooh Corner cd. OH MY GOSH it's SUCH a wonderful cd, especially the song Return to Pooh Corner!!!
I also love songs from Disney movies, whether old or new. Like music from Peter Pan and Cinderella, and the soundtrack from Brave.

Imagine Dragons, Lorde....that's about it right now.

Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Adele, and Howard Shore's ineffabely wonderful LotR soundtrack is pretty much all I listen to. I also love Foster the People's Pumped Up Kicks. The lyrics are a little depressing, but the song is so upbeat.

The postal service. And other stuff. But mostly the postal service. Oh, and Janelle Monae.

I love Pumped Up Kicks! A friend and I are thinking of covering it.
I listen to basically everything except really loud stuff like Metal and Hard Rock. Some of my favorite singers are Ed Sheeran, Lorde, Birdy, Adele, The Icarus Account and Bon Iver. As you may see, I am really into indie at the moment. :)

Well, I've been listening to lots of music as I write my novel and guess what three quarters of it is? Owl City! Really, my playlist is practically all Owl City. And some Linsey Stiriling. And Taylor Swift's song Safe and Sound for the Hunger Games movie. And some songs from Brave. And the song A Thousand Years. Yeah, that' about all.

@Corina I love the songs from Brave! I also like A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.

I agree. Almost all of what I listen to is Postal Service, but I listen to Owl City the other day when noveling and it seemed very effective.

I don't know why I waited until now to share my favorite music...
So my favorite styles of music are classical and old 1940's style music. I also like my own music! Sometimes I get on the piano and compose some random piece. I hope I'm not the only one who does that. ;)
I don't have a favorite band/singer/music artist. I just hear a variety of them on the radio. Their songs are catchy and nice, but it's not like they'll be my favorites.
I also like holiday songs like, "All I Want for Christmas Is You" or "Jingle Bell Rock." Since the holidays are approaching, I've actually started listening to them now in November! :)

@ Nina: Oh my gosh, you too?! I've started listening to Christmas music too! It drives my dad nuts! He thinks you shouldn't watch/listen to Christmas stuff till after Thanksgiving. Nah, not us. We listen to it the day after Halloween! We have what I call our "twangy southern" Christmas music. Like Go Tell it on the Mountain by Little Big Town, Hard Candy Christmas by Dolly Parton, and Kentucky Homemade Christmas (I forget who sings it). I love it!

I've been doing the same thing. I am now playing Winter Wonderland on piano and I've been going around singing "I'll be home for Christmas" and "Rocking around the Christmas Tree". A little early but I don't know any songs about Thanksgiving so I might as well skip to Christmas... Do you guys know any Thanksgiving songs? I think it would be strange to walk around singing about turkeys.

@ Elizabeth- I have started playing holiday songs on the piano too! My mom has bought some Christmas piano books for me to use. I have Charlie Brown songs, and I've been playing Linus and Lucy all the time!
And I've never heard of any Thanksgiving songs. I agree- people will look at us like we're crazy if we sang about turkeys...
"We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing." "Over the river and through the woods." Two Thanksgiving songs that come to mind.

@ Blonde Heroines Rule- Hooray- I realize I'm not the only one! My dad plays Christmas music all the time. Our family actually starts listening to Christmas music in October. Yeah, it's fun- usually I catch myself singing Christmas songs at school, in the shower- pretty much everywhere I go! I have those Christmas carols stuck in my head!
*runs off singing Jingle Bells*
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way!!!

We start listening to X-mas music in November too! My favorite singer is Carrie Underwood. Did anyone watch The Sound of Music Live-the one she was in? She was awesome!
