I am a

I am a vegetarian.  My mom and dad aren't (well my mom likes meat sometimes and my dad loves it) and I need to know some good meals or ideas.

Is anyone else a vegetarian around here or at least have any ideas???

I'm not vegetarian, but I know some good vegetarian meals.

1) Angel Hair Pasta: angel hair pasta, butter, capers, artichokes, black olives, basil...

2) Veggie Stirfry

3) Homemade Mac'n'Cheese

4) French Toast

5) Broccoli Cheese Soup

6) Egg Drop Soup

7) Veggie Quiche

8) Gnocci

9) Tortellini

10) Pizza

You'll want to look for recipes online and decide which recipe sounds better, but those are some good ones.

Thanks, Teresa.

Mmmmm . . . I never would have thought of veggie stirfry, egg drop soup, or tortilinni.

Do you know anyone that is a vegetarian?

No, I don't. The reasons I know a lot of veggie dishes is because a) I'm Catholic and we don't eat meat on Fridays and b) my family likes to save meat meals for the weekends because it is expensive.

That's hard, because I like them all! But, I'd say the quiche, tortellini, and angel hair pasta are my top three.

I am a vegetarian dude! I have sometimes made the awful mistake of licking bacon grease out of the pan before knowing what it is. TASTES TERRIBLE!

Good going on being vegetarian.  Never do the bacon grease thing again.  That sounds like one of the last things on my last thing to do list.

I've been an on and off pescetarian (someone who is a vegetarian, but also eats fish) for about three years, and I can recommend the Moosewood cookbooks.  I would check one out of your library and mark which ones you might want to try.  They're vegetarian cookbooks, and they have a lot of really yummy things in them.

Good point on being a pescetarian.

I want to be one but I just dont really care for very many kinds of fish.

But once in a while I will have a bite of it.

I will search Mooseword cookbooks right after I finish this post.
