On May 3, Disney and Marvel's Iron Man 3 will fly into theaters, predictably topping $100,000,000 in it's first three days, effectively kicking off the summer movie season. So, this thread is for discussing our expectations for all the giant Hollywood blockbusters this summer.
I don't think IM3 will end RDJ's run as Iron Man, cause they're (obviously) working on on Avengers sequel. I'm sure Tony Stark will be fine by the end of the movie.
Also, Monstropolis rocks!!! Monsters University is coming June 22nd. And, who thinks Despicable Me REALLY deserves a sequel (July 3)? Also, I'm looking forward to The Lone Ranger, also coming July 3rd. And... anyone else?
Rodney says boau. Yes, Rodney, I'm sure Boa U would make a fantastic movie also, but they'd probably want to make a Boa, Inc. first.

Call me a pain, hopeless, whatever, but I am, I'll admit, looking forward to Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters. I can't help it! But yes, JDD, I'll grant, they did mess up with Tyson. So sad. Btw, the official trailer for it is out. Those who hated the first will be equally disgusted, but oh well. I'm just plain excited cause I like an exciting movie. Maybe it won't follow the book, but I'll enjoy the movie as the movie.
That's about the only thing I know of, or really care to see.

Okay, I saw the trailer, and now I'm more thinking... Uh... Hmm...
Sheesh.
I don't know how I feel about seeing it. It seems like they might be steering a bit closer to the book now, or, uh...
I'll make up my mind when I see the reviews.

You hear that they filmed part of PJSoM at the former site of Six Flags New Orleans? They closed the place shortly before Katrina, and now they're building some stupid shopping mall there. But first, they came in to film the PJ2 movie, and I suspect they're putting the WaterLand scene from Book 1 into Movie 2, and that's why they were filming there.
Sheesh, should I go see it... ?... ?... Maybe... ?...

Fast and Furious 6 is coming out on May 24th! I can't wait. It looks like the best one yet. Also, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, although I think it's coming out in Fall. The trailer is out but they don't show any of the scenes from the Games. Maybe it's just a teaser trailer.

About PJ, yeah, I had mixed feelings about the trailor too. The oracle does look cool though. And yeah, I think they're putting the Waterland thing in this too. Though Hermes doesn't look at all how I pictured him. And Clarisse. Well, Clarisse just doesn't seem like Clarisse. Which is sad. I kinda liked Clarisse. At least, she was a cool character. But it does seem like they're keeping closer to the book, which I was hoping for. Plus, I've said this before, and if you'll take note. ANNABETH IS BLONDE!!! As she always should have been. Sorry, but that thrills me to no end!

Maybe they changed it so someone other than Hermes gives them the wind bottle, so that guy wasn't actually supposed to be Hermes.

TFiOS? That's not coming out in the summer, but it's the only movie I'm expecting...

Also Magyk. But that hasn't been green lighted yet, so, yeah, that's not happening any time soon.
I don't really want to see the PJ movies, because after a recent rereading, the only one I liked still is the first one kinda sorta maybe.
Going Bovine would be really awesome as a movie.
Also Thirteen Little Blue Envelopes.

Actually, Bloody Jack would be terrible as a movie.
The Book Thief would be interesting. I need to read that again.
Half Magic would be awesome, too, even though they would probably butcher it ala Fantastic Mr. Fox.
