Are there any

Are there any ballet dancers out there who went to an ABT summer intensive or young dancers' workshop? I'm going this summer, and I'd love to hear about your experiences.

I'm a ballet dancer, but I am not in a workshop or ABT.
Do you also do pointe? I do.
What shows has your studio put on in the past? In my old studio we did Raymonda, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Nutcracker and a few others.
How long have you danced? I've danced for 10 years!

I've danced for only seven years! I've performed in The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. I just started pointe work two months ago. I'm so happy to meet a fellow ballet dancer! Are you going to a summer intensive this summer?

No, I am not going to a summer intensive, but I hope you have fun at yours! Please tell me what it is like after you've gone. It sounds fun!

Coppelia sounds like a great ballet! I wish I was in that!

I'm a ballet dancer also. I have not done ABT's Summer Intensive, but I am doing The State Street Ballet's Summer Intensive this summer. I'm  really excited! We go to Colorado every summer, so I'm also doing an intensive put on by a ballet sudio there for the fourth time.

I'm a dancer, but I don't do ballet.  I dance tap and jazz.  In my jazz class, we also do a little bit of lyrical.

I am actually doing a dance intensive this week from Monday through Friday and we are doing pointe prepointe ballet modern and contempory from 11:00 am to 4:00pm.

 
Ihave been doing dance since I was 1 1/2 or 2 or so.

I just did a June Performance and had tons of fun too.

Since you were four!! Nice going.  When did you start pointe?  I have been doing a ton of prepointe classes and still am.  We normally get our pointe shoes between ages 11 and 12.

We have put on Spellbound (ask me if you don't know what it is), The Nutcracker and a ton more but we mostly do other stuff in Chicago (I'm going into division 2 soon and u go to Chicago in division 4 or 5 if u want)  and put on lots of just recitals.  

 

Normally for classes I do ballets and lyricals and repertoirs (putting everything from ballet together normally into dances and such).
