The Lizzie Bennet Diaries...

...is what I am going to be talking about in a second if you bear with me. :)  I just wanted to say hi to everybuggy!  I don't know if people still remember me - I was around awhile ago, and then disappeared because, as I'm sure all of you know, life is really busy.  But then I saw the Chatterbox in my bookmarks the other day and realized how much I miss you all.  So I'm going to try to post some more and be around more often.

And now is the time I get to what I was originally going to talk about.  The Lizzie Bennet Diaries.  I was wondering if anyone has seen these fantastic YouTube videos.  The Diaries are a modern adaptation of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.  In the series, Lizzie Bennet, the protagonist, vlogs about her life and its various complication.  Over the course of the series, we meet the sweet Jane Bennet, the crazy Lydia Bennet, George Wickham (who does not deserve an adjective), the resourceful Charlotte Lu, her nerdy sister Maria, the pompous Ricky Collins, the intolerable Caroline Lee, and of course, the socially awkward, but extremely charming William Darcy.  And if I haven't driven you away with my long list of characters, here's my humble opinion.  This web series is absolutely fantastic!  Videos are posted every Monday and Thursday and I await each new video with baited breath each of those days.  This superb series brings Pride and Prejudice into the modern times with ease and fluidity and is also co-created by one of my favorite people and half of the vlogbrothers Hank Green (if you don't know him - look him up immediately!).  Has anyone watched the Lizzie Bennet Diaries and if so, what do you think?  If you haven't, please at least give it a try, because I think it is well worth your time to check it out.

I have not seen the Lizzy Bennet diaries, but I go to a school called the Reginald R. Bennett school and I watch vlogbrothers.  That's not really an excuse.

I'll have to check that out. I love the Pride and Predjudice movie with Keira Knightly, and I've read the book.

ERMAHGERD I love the Lizzie Bennet Diaries. It's not even funny. It puts a nice modern perspective on the book.
