Music writing!
Anyone else write music? If so, TELL ME NOW what program you use and give me a link to your music (if possible) so I can listen to it.
As for me . . . nothing I make is even worth listening to. When I started writing music, I used Finale Notepad, but recently I've been using Mixcraft 6, which I like much better.
I have SOME okay songs saved right now, but they need a singer. And even if I could sing, my computer doesn't have a microphone. Mmn.
I'm sorry Zach, we're not allowed to post links.

Do you mean like song writing or writing pieces for the piano or something? I've written songs before even though I'm not that great at it...

Never have. I would use GarageBand if I did, though.

Every six months my teacher makes us write a song on Sebalius. In June I wrote "Variations on a theme by Gollum". It's for two tubas and a viola.

@Gollum-
HAHA BEST ORCHESTRATION EVER
I just love those poor underappreciated instruments don't you? Two tubas and a viola... hehehehe.

Indeed. It was supposed to be one tuba, but I had a derp moment and realized that tubas can't play two notes at once. Nyarsh.

A little known fact: If you plug earbuds, headphones, etc. into the microphone jack, they'll act as a microphone. I've tested it and found Apple earbuds are very quiet when used liked that.
I've written music for clarinet, but on paper. They were really bad, and I think I threw them all away with my 5th grade band folder. I've never recorded anything. Maybe once I learn guitar better and get a guitar that's not made for little kids, I will. There is this one guy who I think would be able to help me, but our relationship's kinda... complicated... at least to me. He may not think that.

@ Admin: Oh well. That's okay.
I write music for piano and . . . basically everything. I left my piano phase behind a while ago, since I can barely play the piano.
Nowadays, I usually write for jazz ensemble (I play saxophone) or guitar (which I don't play at all. I just listen to it on the computer.) I used to write my compositions out by hand, but there are lots of programs you can use that will make it look . . . a lot more professional. So yeah.
I would use GarageBand, but the program is only available for Macs. The (previously mentioned) Mixcraft 6 is basically like GarageBand except for PC's, so that's what I use.

I composed an "Ode to the Dropped Stitch" while knitting, but I don't think that counts, as it's not written down and I can't sing worth two beans.

FELLOW KNITTING CHATTERBOXER! Are you on Ravelry?
