What kind of music do y'all listen to? Or are listening to right now?
I'm listening to "Uprising" by Muse- actually found the song on the fanmix "Epitaph on a Tyrant" put together by the wonderful Velisoraptor. (As a side note, Velisoraptor writes as Min Daae. I love her stories.)
My other musical tastes include Enya, Birdy, Arcade Fire, Bach, Taylor Swift (only two songs actually- "Safe and Sound" and "Eyes Open"), the Punch Brothers, Jamie Laval, Connie Dover, the immortal Shostakovich, Dutilleux, and anything Celtic...
Yeah.
Your turn!

At the moment I'm listening to Wonderland, and have been for the last, um, three hours. It'stoo fantastic to just listen to once #patheticfangirl
Generally I just listen to musicals, with occasional dalliances witha handful of bands (Oingo Boingo, Cat Empire, Chameleon Circuit, and Within Temptation) or movie scores (mostly Danny Elfman). I'm a massive Sondheimite—the "must have anything with his name on it" kind—and more recently a big Wildhorn fan as well (hence the current fangirling of Wonderland, although that is helped along by a mind-blowingly stellar cast).
Specific persons whose voices I could listen to absolutely forever include: Kate Shindle (that belt oh my), Bernadette Peters, Jan Maxwell (who should have gotten that bloody Tony #stillbitter), Sherie Rene Scott, Neil Patrick Harris, Darren Ritchie, Janet Dacal, Carly Rose Sonenclar (twelve year olds should not sound that good though, she is ridiculous), Bebe Neuwirth, Roger Bart, Stephanie J. Block, and Audra MacDonald (who, admittedly, deserved the Tony almost as much as Jan Maxwell did. #butstillbitter). Among others.

! I was going to go on about Enya, but then I noticed you already said that! I love Enya and anything Celtic really. I also love Blackmore's Night, which is basically like a Medeival-style music group, and Moya/Maire Brennan, who is a bit like Enya.

Haha me too! I was listening to Enya's "Listen to the Rain" (a favorite) a few minutes ago.
I've never heard of Blackmore's Night or Moya Brennan but they sound cool. I should look them up.

I normally listen to Disney songs, songs from musicals, or other stuff. Other stuff being mostly pop: Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Hot Chelle Rae, One Direction. I don't really like Big Time Rush much, but I like their Beatles covers. The A Team by Ed Sheeran. Glad You Came by The Wanted. The Hunger Games soundtrack. Smooth Criminal by the Glee cast (I don't watch Glee,I just like that song). A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. Ok, that covers everything on my iPod... The Beatles. Green Day.

Have any of you heard of Jake Bugg? He's a country music singer but he's pretty young. I've never heard any of his songs before though.
(July 12, 2012 - 6:52 pm)
Nope. I don't listen to country much, except The Band Perry now and again.

@Melody:
Iagree with you—One Direction: awesome. Big Time Rush: excruciatingly annoying. The A Team by Ed Sheeran: hypnotic. I listen to it every day, and I never get tired of it. It's so sad, yet so real in a way.

I listen to a lot of movie soundtracks and musicals. I do like some pop music, including Adele and, yes, One Direction.
