Drawing!
Well, lately I've been sort of fine-tuning my drawings... this is sort of a copy of Coral's Drawing Thread, where we posted some of our drawings. So, behold a page of my doodles... (please let this show up please let this show up!)
myahh. It's so tiny -annoyed glare at picture-
Sorry, Tiffany. It's not showing up here at all.

@TNO: Thank you! I think I got it at Claire's during a Halloween sale. By the way, am I correct in assuming that one of your pictures was of The Doctor?
@Page O'Hara: Wow, the top picture and the flower are amazing! They're both so realistic! And the face on your OC looks a little bit like Miku's in Matryoshka... if anyone knows what that means. :D
@L: Oh my gosh, that's so cute!
@Tiffany W.: You should try posting your amazing group Dragon RP picture to the thread. It might show up if you copy it from dA and paste it into a comment.
If anyone has any tips on drawing boys, advice would be appreciated. I can usually do the face half-decently, but I can't get the body right, especially in the places where girls are supposed to have curves. My boy drawings always end up looking like they're made of popsicle sticks. -_-

Yep, that's Eleven. I had one of the BBC promo pictures set as my wallpaper for a while and I got bored and drew it. Glad he's recognizeable.
re: drawing boys: I find it's easier to draw people in general if you start with a skeleton, then add flesh, then clothes. I'm pants at explaining these sort of things so I drew you a diagram instead (+bonus sketch because I was waiting for mother to be done with the scanner). It's bloody huge because I didn't resize it at all—wanted to make sure you could read my untidy scrawlings—but if you open it in a new window or tab you should be able to see it all.
Dunno how much it'll help but maybe you'll find some use for it. And, if all else fails, find a guy and sketch them.

YERSSS! IT SHOWED UP!
It does! It does look like Miku! How did I not notice that?
Tips on drawing guys: They're not completely flat there. Pectorals exist, do they not? If they're the kind that won't really have pecs, tuck in from the shoulders a little bit. HAVE NO FLAT PLANES. Also, do you draw a skeleton for anything below the head? It is practically one of the commandments: you MUST draw a skeleton. It can be lines, rectangles, or more complicated than that, but it still has to be there. It will help a lot with proportions, staying true to your form, making guys look like guys, not making people look like mannequins, et cetera.

Okay, drawing boys. Start with the shoulders. Guy shoulders are very broad. After that, the rest of the body is mostly straight up and down. Guys aren't necessarily less skinny, but they are a bit wider. There is a very slight curve, though. Slight. That's about it. I know exactly how to draw them, except for the fact that I absolutely cannot draw.

Doctor Who watercolours! Ninth and Sixth Doctors. (I have a One and an Eleven, but I'm not as pleased with them.)

That's a scene forom Legend of the Red Cloak.

@Emily L: Wow, that's amazing! It's sort of like Cubism, only not really... but it looks really cool. I love your drawing style.
@TNO and L: Yes, I do draw a skeleton, usually some line and some box-ish things. It still looks weird when I finish, though. Meh.
(August 8, 2012 - 10:35 am)
I usually draw bubbles.
(August 8, 2012 - 7:01 pm)
My skeletons are lines and bubbles... with close-up drawings I usually use rectangles instead of lines. Once, when I was really bored, I drew a relatively real-looking skeleton, put it in Photoshop, and built a person on top of it.

@Alexandra - Thanks!
And Who's Miku???
@Emily L - Very cool! Like Cubism but more... Aztec-ish.

@Page O'Hara: Your welcome :) Hatsune Miku is a... Japanese anime character... sort of. She's the persona of this software program called Vocaloid that's used to create songs, so she's kind of like a virtual Japanese pop star. It's really difficult to explain. >.<

@Alexandra- I think I get it. Cool:)
