Reviving it would be cool! But one thing that's hard for me is the story currently, so an explanation of some sort would be helpful. All I really know are mostly of what has happened before. Meanwhile, a traveler rp sounds great! Stuff like that would be easier for other CBers to join.

1. Yeah, I saw the idea for Kyngdom-related games in a post by some old Kyngdomers! I was thinking either games as ourselves or RPing--maybe an Alphabet Categories Game (so there'd be a theme like "characters" or something and then we'd go along saying a name of a Kyngdom character that starts with each letter of the alphabet, like i'd say Arietis, you'd say Blazing Star, and then someone would say Celine/CeCe, and so on), or something like that? I'll brainstorm some more ideas :D
2. Great! it seems like people are interested in the travelers RP, so i'll post that whenever i get a chance! i'm not entirely sure what the Badger Express is about, but i've been meaning to read through that. I definitely think we'll be able to eventually revive that--great idea! :D and yeah, Bog and Burrow could also become an RP or something, too :D
3. Yeah, you're right, a newsletter would be a lot of work--i feel like we should postpone that idea, and maybe during winter break or something i'll have some time to sit down and dig through old threads. We can probably do a PSA though--something like Poinsettia did a while back. also! the PSA you put in the MCU last month was really awesome!! :D
4. ooh, a Kyngdom culture post would be really cool! Maybe we can have a thread on Kyngdom and we gradually add to it? or maybe we could add posts about culture to the Myths/Legends thread? something like that. anyway, really good idea :D

1. yeah, there is a LOT to the Kyngdom story. i suggest reading the Ultimate Guide to Kyngdom, if you haven't already. i'm working on an even shorter summary of the ultimate guide to make it more accessible.

Hey guys, I just got an idea while I was adding some stuff to the Myths and Legends thread~
I seem to remember that a few months ago there was some mention of discovering a mysterious island, and that got me thinking - maybe we could develop that idea in line with the Resistance's discoveries. The island could hold some clue to helping the Powers control their SAPs, or maybe an actual spell or substance. The first step would be to discover how to actually get to the island, plus finding recruits to go on the voyage, keeping it all secret from BIG, and so on. There's also a lot of potential for developing the backstory - why is the island so hidden? why does it hold the key to controlling the SAPs?
Idk whether this would be a good idea for a separate RP, or if we should weave it into a separate RP, or if y'all want to include it at all, but it seemed like an interesting direction for the general Kyngdom plot??

That sounds really interesting! So would the RP be members of the Resistance discovering why it controls SAPs and basically help move the overall plot?

I love that idea :DD It solves the issue of what the Resistance has been doing this time, is definitely plausable, and sounds really fun to RP :]
Hmm. Brazen Goo - the only thing that can defeat the Powers and SAPs - is made from a flower. Maybe a related plant grows on this island, but rather than defeating the Powers/SAPs, it can control them? The Resistance would have to keep it secret, probably, because if Catastrophe found out, he might be able to use it to control the Powers. Maybe? What do you all think?
And maybe there could be people living on the island - we could invent a species or something - and for some reason they want to protect the clue/spell/substance? Maybe, I don't know.
Also I'm just going to go ahead and respond to several different things about the Powers/SAPs you said on the Kyngdom Planning thread, so here goes~
You said something exploring the SAPs' disloyalty to Catastrophe, and I think that would be an awesome idea! They'd definitely be more interested in getting power for themselves than helping Catastrophe - maybe Catastrophe's been telling them that he'll give them more power if they help him, but now that he's in power he's going back on that promise? Definitely a cool idea, and I'd love to explore it more in the future :]
Yeah, we should probably talk about how we're going to control the Powers/SAPs. In the past, they were divvied up among the active CBers, so Powers were being played by CBers who didn't necessarily create them. I think we could do something like that, if everyone's cool with that?
I love the idea of Lord Helion's wife joining the Resistance! It would definitely make for an interesting dynamic, and it sounds fun to RP. I'm all for it if Amethyst is! :] Do you have any ideas for how she would meet up with Arietis and Tarava?
Also, I'm so sorry for the late reply! I've had barely any time to come on the CB lately :/

I like the idea of a plant that grows on the island! Seems to me like it would work really well. Hmm, I had kind of envisioned that the major issue in obtaining the plant would be finding the island where it grows, but we can certainly add inhabitants of the island as well! Sounds cool :)
As for the other ideas:
-Having Catastrophe go back on his promise would be great! We should definitely do that :)
-Yeah, good idea! Especially since there are so few Kyngdomers right now and there'll probably be enough Powers/SAPs to go around. Maybe we should assign them randomly? Or we can just assign each Power to whoever wants it.
-Okay, cool! I don't really mind where she and Arietis/Tarava meet up... I thought Arietis and Tarava were still in Lord Helion's palace, which would have made it just a simple matter of having her approach them, but I checked and I see that now they're in Tarava's palace, if I understand correctly? Maybe she could send a messenger to Tarava's palace with a letter, asking if she could join them and arranging a place to meet. I think that would probably fit best with her character. But it's up to you :)
-It's okay, no worries! Christmas break is a time for doing irl stuff :)

Soooo although last year I was pretty involved in the revive Kyngdom efforts its been a while since I've been on CB and I don't know what's going on in Kyngdom anymore. I don't have as much time to dedicate to helping out with Kyngdom as last year but I'd love to do a bit of RPing here and there... Wondering if anybody would be willing to quickly get me up to speed on what's happened in the revival efforts since last year and where the storyline is at?

You should join pangolin's Traveler RP! It's super low stakes; we're using it to explore Kyngdom and get better at RPing in it.

hey Scuttles! so cool you're interested in rejoining Kyngdom :D i'll try my best to sum up what's been happening with Kyngdom lately, but lmk if you have any more questions~
so, during the ten year time skip, Catastrophe has been gaining power and the Resistance has been in retreat. we've decided that the Resistance has been doing important research that will help the Powers (who are allied with the Resistance) control their SAPs (who are allied with Catastrophe) - though we haven't quite figured out what that research involves. we do have some ideas (see Poinsettia's post above, about an island that holds something that can help defeat the SAPs) that I'm pretty confident in, but we should come to a consensus with the other Kyngdomers before we make that the plan.
there's also been talk about exploring potential SAP disloyalty to Catastrophe - they'd probably be more interested in getting power for themselves than helping out some human, but we haven't really discussed that much yet.
we have four active RPs right now (though they haven't been super active lately with the holidays and everything):
Nobyl RP: this one's been going on the longest and has gotten the furthest. it's about the Nobyls forming alliances and exploring their potential disloyalty to Catastrophe. rn, my charrie Arietis and Amethyst's charrie Tarava are planning to go to the Resistance base in the city of Mer to ask for support to attack Lord Helion's palace (Lord Helion is one of Poinsettia's charries and a general of Catastrophe's army). if you have a Nobyl charrie, you can just jump right in.
SOCS Boarding School RP: okay so this one is actually not a SOCS boarding school RP - SOCS was destroyed/merged with BIG, so the school's now called the BIG Cadet Academy for the Valiant. they train young people aged 11-18 to fight and eventually join Catastrophe's army. BIG, in a continuation of SOCS work, have been secretly conducting horrible experiments on people in order to create superhuman soldiers for Catastrophe's army. the plan is to have a few of these experiments to escape and for some BIGCAftV students to encounter them. this RP has just started.
Woodland RP: this takes place in a forest called Morrows northwest of Kyngdom. Morrows is unique because each quadrant of the forest has the environment of a different season. it used to be a lovely, peaceful place before Catastrophe became king - now, soldiers are stationed around the forest and i think they're using it for resources for their army, disrupting the environment and everyone that lives there. this RP has been going on for a while, but it's been kind of slow so anyone can jump in.
Travelers' RP: Peri summed this up pretty well - it's just a bunch of people traveling through Kyngdom, and we'll use it to explore Kyngdom and get used to RPing with it. it's very low-stakes, so anyone can join, even if they don't know a ton about the current conflicts in Kyngdom.
so, this isn't related to the actual plot of Kyngdom, but we have been trying to get more people to join Kyngdom, because there's only a handful of people active on here. some plans we have are reviving the main face of Kyngdom and including PSAs in the MCU.

So do we want to choose people to role-play Catastrophe and the Powers/SAPs now, or should we leave that for later? I personally think maybe we should choose them now; since there aren't many Kyngdomers anyway, everyone should be able to get at least one important figure to role-play. But maybe we shouldn't start actually bringing the Powers into the RPs yet, as it might complicate things and everyone's still a little new to Kyngdom. What do y'all think?

I agree that perhaps we shouldn't bring other things into the RPs yet, but the thing is, if we don't do it now, will we ever get comfortable enough to do it later? You learn by trying, right? Just things to consider :) I do think we could probably choose them now though?

i'm going to join kyngdom! or try to, at least. i may quit the CB soon, but i'd like to participate in Kyngdom before i quit.
about the quitting thing--it's...a long story. i'm not supposed to be on the CB anymore, actually--i was supposed to be off of it since the middle of last year. i was on the CB more than i was doing schoolwork and chores, and so my mom actually banned me from it. i'm not sure if she knows i'm on it anymore...but she has alluded to it--although she said it jokingly, so she could have just been teasing. i really don't want to leave, but my brother's going through some drama with sneaking electronics and whatnot, and i don't want to get in trouble for being on cricket either.
but i want to join.
