Click this now! Uh-oh.
And Admin, one of you said I could do this, so here goes!
Lucy the six-year-old was upset. In fact, she was ready for a temper tantrum.
No one was paying any attention to her.
Some animal called the Gryphon apparently had been wreaking havoc in
Kyngdom, meaning that everyone's attention was on the animal, not her.
"Mommy, look what I drew!" Lucy announced to her mother, holding up a piece of paper.
"Lucy, sweetheart, I'm busy. I'm watching the news about the Gryphon. I just overheard that it has been captured!"
Growling, the little girl stomped outside. No one cared about her!
It was a cloudy day. The sky was completely grey and destruction could be seen wherever Lucy went. Not that she cared, of course.
She started to run, as fast as her little legs could go south. The angry kid ran and ran. She didn't stop at sunset, didn't stop at midnight. She did not care that her parents were worried, that they were probably looking for her. If anything, she WANTED them to look for her!
As any mortal human, Lucy grew tired as she stubbornly ran on and on. She reached the grasslands, bumped into quite a few stone trees, before collapsing out of exhaustion.
"Hello? Little girl?" Five hours later, the child opened her sleepy eyes to the sound of someone's voice. In fact, it was a badger.
"Who… Are you?" Lucy rubbed her eyes and sat up.
She was lying in front a a petrified tree, and a badger was standing next to her.
"I am Dankane, Guardian of the Power of Claw," the badger announced.
Surprised, Lucy sat up and stared at him. Right next to the black-and-white animal lay a beautiful, tiny xylophone.
Impulsively, without thinking, Lucy's little hands started to reach for the instrument.
"Careful, child," the badger warned. "Do not play it."
But of course, Lucy didn't listen. Who would? She wanted to show off her music skills, to hear this beautiful xylophone's music.
She grabbed a stick, possibly the mallet, from the badger's paws.
And then she started to play.
It was a beautiful, yet terrible, great sound. Lucy filled the air with her tune so loud and impressive that she swore she saw the swaying grass stop moving. Dankane froze, too.
As she continued to play, a low rumble came from somewhere far away. It grew louder, louder, louder, until the badger finally unfroze, and wrenched the precious instrument from Lucy's fingers.
"LOOK UP!!!"
Lucy glanced upwards, then screamed and burst into tears.
Soaring above her head was a great, red, feathered creature.
The Power had been activated.
It was the Song of War bird.

Where? Which thread? Could you give me a link to it? Admin allows links to threads that are on the Cricket website.

I don't know how to do a link, but it's on the back pages of '(Shall we start?)' By Trill W., which is somewhere on the first page of Kyngdom. It floats around from top to bottom.

Stop saying top, Top.

Toppity top!
@ Claire, Top isn't a person. Top is something you say when you want a thread from a back page to be moved to the top.
