 Scarlet's Diary

I sat up in bed, my eyes blinked open. I looked around at my new room. I had moved everything from my old nesting box in the coop to my new capt'n o dorm room. That included my gold chicken feather, my potted garden, my diary, and other essentials such as my three calico sun dresses.  I glanced at my brand new IPad. I had saved up to buy it, knowing it would help with my capt'n o work. I turned on my favorite album on my also new MP3 player that my friends and sister saved up to buy me before I left. My mother had sewn me a new dress, and my grandmother had bought me a new stationary set. As I listened to the music, I made my bed (really a nesting box with a blanket and pillow) then I stepped into the little bathroom to freshen up. Which meant brushing my feathers and polishing my beak. I slipped into my little plaid sundress (the new one) and went to the capt'n o kitchen to have breakfast. As usual, ms. Margrey sat behind the counter, looking a little too short for it. "Can I get you something to eat, Dear?" Ms Margrey said. "Yes, a biscuit please." She got to work with her little hamster hands and then said,"Here you are, Dear." In her usual squeaky tone. As I ate, I thought about my new place in the Capto Abolere Organization. I wondered how my new colleagues would take to me. To be honest, I was really quite nervous, but also exited, about tonight's meeting. I hoped I would live up to everyone's expectations. I went to my room and clicked the power button on my iPad. I needed to see if Capense had posted the meeting time yet.
