As I ate breakfast, I couldn't stop thinking about the note. And what did they mean by, remember the crow? What crow? I hadn't seen a crow. The letter must have been from big, but I still don't know much about them. Not even Anwen does. I rose from the low table,(we had no seats, just old pillows to sit on, and we were somehow able to scrounge up these old planks of wood, which Anwen nailed together, Rain and I not having appossable thumbs.) and turned to walk back outside. "Moonshadow? Are you ok? I haven't heard a word out of you all morning." Rain said in her gentle beautiful, voice. Ever since we met in the woods, we had become fast friends. "Oh,um, Ya. Yep everything's just fine! I um, I I just, I just need to go outside for something, that's all." I felt terrible for not telling either of them the truth. Especially Rain. They trusted me so much. But I would tell them when the time was right. I left the room before either of them could ask any questions. When I stepped out onto the shabby porch, I could smell something strange in the air. I would have to be wary. I decided to take a walk down to the little creek. It was Rain's favorite place. I walked along the side of the creek, the serene sound of the water running filled my ears. It was a relaxing place to be. Just then I heard something behind me. I whipped my head around, but it was gone. A rustle was coming from the branches in a bush beside the creek. I stepped quietly toward it and sniffed. Just then, something jumped out and ran across the ground and up a tree so fast, I couldn't see it. At first, I thought it was a very large squirrel, but the color wasn't right. Just then, something dropped down from the tree, landed on my head,taped my muzzle so I couldn't talk, then shot the aaaacooorrrnnn, nnnoooo iiiii meeeeaaaeeeeennn the tranquilizer iiiiiiinnn mmmyyy aaaaaaaannnnybbboooodyyyy eeelse smeeell thaaaat......... And everything went black.
