~K well, I
~K well, I am b-a-c-k how wonderful~
-Ghost-
I pace around the clearing, occasionally looking up at the sky. Am I really doing this? Really going outside, out of the safety of the woods? I think for a while.
My parents died when humans killed them. There are probably a ton of humans out there. Should I really be going?
My curiosity takes the upper hand, and I step out of the forest, instantly transforming into a pale-skinned human with long silver hair and deep blue eyes. I stare at the horizon. No trees. No nothing. I slink back into the forest, shifting back into a wolf's form. Staring at the forest's edge, I decide to go away from the forest. Nothing to lose. As I shift back into a human, my fingers catch on my carved wooden time pendant. I hold it up to the sunlight and observe it. Peaceful.

Anyways, excuse my terrible writing. And my short posts.

Hi, welcome back! Hope you don't mind if I join in with a charrie of mine. Shiloh's full name is Shiloh Mrtyu Karunai, and he's a half-fae half-human mercenary/hunter/mage/traveller. He's pretty neutral in the war, he thinks there are pros and cons to both side. (For example, life under the Resistance will have more freedom, but Catastrophe might be better at uniting everyone--things like that.) He's probably just wandering around. He was at the Masquerade but he left early. While he's in his late seventies he looks like he's thirty because that's how fae aging works or something. His charrie sheet is on page 100 of the Who's Here thread.

The faint glow of the rising sun passed through the trees in a glorious golden light. A river babbled as it rushed over rocks and through crevices, forging a fast-moving path through the forest. These woods were much younger and brighter than the mist-filled depths of the Secret Forest, though they were still widely untouched--the Great Forest was a magnificent place.
In a little clearing along the bank of the river, someone had set up a tent. A well-crafted bow and a quiver of arrows lay by the side of the tent, and there were the still-smoking remains of a firepit, ringed with stones.
Not far from the campsite, there was a man, busy tanning a deer hide. He scraped his kinfe across it, smoothing it out and cleaning it.
A sudden rustle from the bushes caused him to pause. When there was another, he set down the knife and walked over towards the bushes, curious.

I also have short posts.

Of course!
-Ghost-
As I step behind the bush, a noise of metal of metal on wood startles me and I hiss, leap out of the bush and shoot onto the person and *accidently* scratch them on the arm.
Bad choice, me. B-a-d choice.
I back off, still snarling angrily, but I can sense that this person isn't a bad one. So I slink back into the forest, where my stock of herbs are, mix a little powder with some water, and done. Once I'm back in my human form, I walk outside and hand the wooden bowl with the mixture inside, along with softened bark.
"Use it." I say. "Spread the mix on your arm that I scratched, then cover it with the bark."
He gives me a quizzical look and I sigh. People can be so modern these days. Like, really, I've been using this remedy for years already.

Also, @Sybill - your character is he/him, right? I'm so terribly sorry if I mixed it up...

You got it right.
Shiloh~~
She held out the mixture with an expectant look on her face. Shiloh recognized the mixture--he remembered using it when he was a young child, but now he mostly used modern medicines like the rest of Kyngdom. Still, he didn't want to offend her, so he took the wooden bowl and started applying it to his wound.
"So, you're a shapeshifter, aren't you?" Shiloh said. The blue-haired girl seemed shocked for a moment, but then she nodded.
"Yeah. And you're...human, aren't you?" She replied, her gaze unreadable. Shiloh sensed she had mixed emotions over humans.
"Almost." She looked at him with a confused expression, clearly wanting him to elaborate, but he didn't.
"So...who are you?" She eventually said.
"Shiloh," He responded, holding out his hand. She hesitated, but eventually reached forwards and carefully shook it.
"I'm Ghost," She said, her voice careful and measured. He wondered if he was the first person she'd ever met.

The other...I suppose, human, gingerly takes the bowl and begins applying it.
"So, you're a shapeshifter, aren't you?" the human says. I am shocked, the human is probably the first to be able to read my mostly unreadable emotions and powers. After a minute, I give a tentative nod.
"Yeah. And you're...human, aren't you?" I reply. Humans can be destructive, but they have greatly helped my forest.
"Almost."
I look at him with a confused look on my face, wanting him to speak more. I'm not even partially human, I take the shape of whatever nature wants me to.
"So, uh, who are you?" I ask after a few seconds of silence. Silence isn't good for me.
"Shiloh," the human responds, holding out his hand. I tilt my head at it, confused again, but eventually shake it.
"I'm Ghost," I answer, in a careful voice. Wow, the first almost-human I've met.
We sit in silence for a few minute more before I decide I wish to continue on my way.
"It was nice meeting you," I say, "But I must go, as I take the path of nature and the forest." I give a slight bow, and turn my gaze to the field, where many more humans, I suppose, are collecting some things. I sigh. Such destruction.

((At the same time I must say that Ghost is currently neutral, so she will go with whatever side she finds fitting. Probably the Resistance, but as she says, she follows the path of nature, not my path.))
