"My young friend." The voice began, already tinged with disgust. "Oh really, what is this? Lesser animal kingdom? What brilliant young scientists." "Qiera, please." "Sorry, sorry."

The paper rustled slightly, turning over. "Crackpot. Very formal word to use." The second voice noted. "Shh!" The candle nearby flickered, illuminating pebbles on the cave floor. A pair of eyes glanced toward the entrance, covered in vines and moss. "I doubt we've lost them." The first noted quietly.

"Sh." Something dragged across the paper. "I've never been good at human writing, have you?" The second questioned. "Never. Put the seal back." "At least the Ts look consistent." "Those are Ts?"

The paper folded just as the sound of voices raised outside. "...Wish we had more time." "I'll lead them off. Get the mail back to the carrier." The candle's small flame disappeared, leaving the cave to its darkness once more.
