The wolf laid
The wolf laid down on the colorful silk pillows. She turned her head to watch Traudl, the lynx, pour the special concoction on her fur, where her damaged ribs are.
"It's a special potion. It's magic, so it should heal your ribs in just one day. You'll be able to make the journey to the Power of Hoof just fine, Sybill. And besides, I assume Rose will know what to do if your ribs are suddenly damaged again," the lynx purrs.
"Good, good. Now all we need is for that badger or his friends to show up. And if they don't show by the deadline, then we shall just go there by ourselves," the wolf tells the feline.
A human clad in armor nods from the back of the room. She sits on a rock, next to the small door. "He still has one week to come here. We'll just have to be patient and wait for him."
At that moment , a panther opens the door.
"Yes, Lonbraj?" Sybill asks.
"We have received a strange letter. I think that perhaps you should read it," The panther mews , and hands the human a folded piece of parchment.
Rose unfolded the letter, which was written in a strange, glowing blue ink.
"The Power is not a toy to be played with. From, N." Rose read aloud .
"How very interesting," Sybill mused.

Mer comes into view over the tree tops. Whist and I land in the woods.
"I'm going to find something to hypnotize so I can remain hidden. Shift into a badger." Whist says.
I do, and Whist vanishes into the trees. She returns, with a hypnotized fox. We head into Mer, searching for the Animals.
It doesn't take us long. Posters advertising the Animals have been hung. They look fairly new and are still warm to the touch. On them, at the bottom, it says to speak to Lonbraj the panther for more information.
The posters also direct us to a large building. Whist knocks on the door with a paw. A small wooden bar slides away to reveal two yellow cat eyes. "Who are you?" Their owner growls.
"I am the badger that you asked to travel with. This is my friend." I say, stepping up to the door. The wooden bar slides closed, and a few moments later, the door swings open.
"Come in. Sybill and Rose will be pleased to see you."

Now with a wolf, and human in tow, the badger and the fox continue on. The presence of Jaaws within the badger was already affecting the wolf and human greatly. As soon as the foursome entered the deeper area of the woods, the fox walked off. A mist-shrouded figure returned in its place.
"Ecio. Turn back now, they are under both mine and Jaaws' influence." Ecio did as he was asked. The group walked on for the rest of the day and into the night, approaching the Secret Forest.

I lean against the wall, watching the other members of Animals going about their business. I, however, don't do anything, except wait for something worth paying attention to.

The night is stormy and howling outside, but inside the base the atmosphere was peaceful. So far we hadn't heard anything of Sybill and Rose, though I felt as if they were likely fine.
There's suddenly a loud crash, slamming into the door. Everyone in the base flocks towards the entrance.
I step up to the door and slide the metal bar away. I can't see anything, so I open the door all the way.
On the porch step is an unconscious human, bleeding and hurt. "Help me get them in! Someone fetch Traudl, and tell her to bring her medicine!"
Cyrson helps me get the human inside. Traudl the lynx sprints towards us, carrying several different bottles.

I don't know who the human is, I just figured it would be a good way to start some conflict.

I run towards the entrance of the base, where Lonbraj opens the door, ever so slightly. A few senconds later he opens it all the way, revealing a wounded human, lying unconcious on the porch.
"Help me get them in!" Lonbraj cries. "Someone fetch Traudl, and tell her to bring her medicine!"
I run forward to help Lonbraj with the human, and Traudl runs up a moment later with several different bottles.
